Besides rust the loss of amazing talented knowledgeable auto surgeons is the most worrying thing to happen to classic cars !!!!! Thank you for keeping the art alive :) With best wishes.

I really enjoy your videos, and your explanations, and tips. You appear to be quite the perfectionist, and that is far better than the bodgers. I am a retired British mechanic, out of all the vehicles and machinery I have worked on, my favourites were jaguar e-types and V12 xjs. Never worked on VW flat fours or Porsche sixes👍

Wow. That is one nasty, tedious cleaning job ahead. I imagine the owner will be horrified and probably enraged when he sees this. Didn't you say in a previous video that this engine had just recently been "rebuilt"?
@klassikats9 ай бұрын
Yes this engine has had two different people working on it, neither one of them was particular skilled. Kurt

My Porsche experience is limited to replacing a clutch, it was more like working on an airplane, than other automobiles, which was simultaneously cool, and frightening.
@klassikats9 ай бұрын
Yes these cars are very similar to aircraft in there design and quality. Kurt

A proper 930 engine rebuild is $40 to $50,000. Imagine how happy the owner is to find out he's wasted this amount of money and is now in for another massive bill. Not to mention it usually takes about a year. Hopefully Kurt can get this one back on the road sooner than that!

Should be a lot sooner than that. Kurt

Yep, but unfortunately it happens all too often. Kurt

Looks like someone has generated economic activity for you with their liberal use of sealants :) I'm sure the owner is glad you found these issues now before something much worse happened. Great videos!

Hello sir, does your actual shop have a website/contact info? I only know of the training site. I'm interested in having a teardown/rebuild done, would like to reach out.
