Thanks for watching. I try to show interesting stuff, but sometimes it's just hard work. Most people would just buy new parts, ha ha.

Your show gives me a lot of confidence to do things on my cars. Currently there are 2 356's and a 1977 Targa with a 1976 E drivetrain. Enjoy your vacation

Thanks for the note. That is precisely why I do this on KZbin. I want to help others and build a community of doers.

Perfect timing. I'm working on my interior metal bits now after recovering from the electrical mishap. Great tip on the epoxy primer. Thanks.

Great diversion. These garnish rails are inspiring my 911 build. I don't want door cards on Mac but I do want garnish rails for the doors. I think I can make something with integrated window pull straps. Ahh, I wish there were more hours in the day.

K&H did my dash and it came out perfect. I did the headliner myself, really not too difficult, just take your time. Got a lot of great direction and tips from Mike’s Restoration 911 videos and then copied what was originally in there.

K&H has been very helpful and they are close. Since my interior has been poorly modified, I needed to partner with someone who knows these cars. I have Mike and his videos on speed dial😀. It shouldn't be that hard. I'm just hopeful I don't break the windows.

I could not have done it without the old headliner being original. There are a lot of small details around the pillars and frames.

Great video, can’t wait to see it done. Doing my 911 upholstery now. 👍

I'm excited for it to be done too! I love the dark brown seats contrasted with the tan square weave carpet. It should be a nice place to hangout😀. Hope your 911 goes well.

@@GarageTimeAutoResto I’m sewing up the seats now but still have the suspension pan and finish paint and body. It’s a long Chanel project plus many more. I’m a one man show with 10 builds going at once. 🙏🙃

Garnish rail in the rear does have a screw that goes into the end and hold the rail in place. It is under the door trim hidden when installed. Also note that only 2 of the 3 screws (front and rear) hold the arm rest on.
@GarageTimeAutoResto Жыл бұрын
Thanks for confirming this. It makes sense that Porsche would reuse the same bracket for front and rear arm rest holes. Four screws is plenty. Also thanks for clearing up the rear garnish rails holes. Perfect and timely!

I'm looking forward to seeing this process... I've been working on upholstery for my 356c as I'm also welding in new sheet metal to the body (I need a break from the noise some days!). I'm certain K&H will do an amazing job.

Oh man, it's a long process! Hang in there. Hopefully my interior will inspire you. 👍

For those whose dash ends are rusted away a new meatal dash cover with or without the light cutout can be bought from Auto Atlanta

Good to know, thanks! I don't recommend welding on these unless you are a glutton for punishment.

2 car garage so hit home. I have to store my TR6, wife not willing to contribute her side of garage wonder why?

Always a struggle, especially in coastal California. Your wife should meet my wife. I'm sure they could commiserate being married to car guys.
