The etiquette of German drivers, and left lane rules, are awe inspiring. We need this in the USA badly!
@war14976 жыл бұрын
Literally illegal to hog the left lane for no reason there. It's mind boggling how this isn't the standard worldwide.
@elins41436 жыл бұрын
As there are no speed limits in certain roads in germany, it just makes sense to leave the left lane empty for those speeding.
@JuanGarcia-zq5tp5 жыл бұрын
Put fines of $300 for staying in the left lane and we will see change. Also in Germany getting your driving license requires a course that takes months which includes practicing in winter conditions. In the U.S. it is embarrassing, in Florida you have the driving part of the test in a parking lot. So basically if you pass without being tested on your ability to drive at 55 or faster you are given a license to drive a 1.5- 2 ton vehicle or 3-4 ton pickup for some people. Total nonsense.
@j.cesarbraga4 жыл бұрын
@@JuanGarcia-zq5tp it isn't much about the training course to drive. In Brazil the process is extenuating, with 30h of theoric classes (50h for professional licenses), 5h of simulator practice and 25h of driving practice, with at least half of it on highways and rural roads and some at night (I don't remember exactly). There's a specific set of theoric and practical classes for each drivers' license categories (there are five, from A to E ranging all types of vehicles). There's a final exam for each part of the course, theorical (in which you need 60% approval on a 40 question test) and the driving exam, in which two evaluators get on board with you through a set course in the city, where you are required to perform well on a realistic scenario. Even so, I consider that most of my fellow countrymen drive very, very bad. That's because the law is not enforced as it should be, fines are very cheap and the expiration date of the license is long (10 years). When I visited the US a while ago I realized people there drive better than here, even with less complex training process.

Why is this Porsche not pulling on a ~2.5 ton SUV with under 400hp?
@snoopdogg42036 жыл бұрын
The SQ5 is not "2,5 tons"......... It is a 230kw,V6 Bi-Turbo charged,2,967 liter, (13-15)1935 kg SUV. I can understand that the conversion into a foreign system causes you some problems, however, you should work on your math skills, with such inaccurate and approximated numbers it is difficult to take anything you type seroiusly.
@noirceur_6 жыл бұрын
@@snoopdogg4203 Thank you for the reply Ryan. Here in the United States we use the imperial system (unfortunately). 2.5 tons is 5000lbs. The 2018 Audi SQ5 weighs 4,398lbs. Add the driver's weight (approx 180lbs, the average weight of males in Germany). That brings the weight to 4,578lbs. The fuel tank capacity of a 2018 Audi SQ5 is 18.5 gallons, but for sake of the argument let's agree the tank is 75% full, meaning there is only 13.875 gallons of fuel in the car. An average gallon of gas weighs 6.2lbs therefore totalling the weight of the gas tank to 86.025lbs of gasoline. Add that to the weight of the car + driver and you get 4,664.025lbs. Last time I checked that is very close to 2.5 tons, say there is even a passenger in the SQ5 then you are easily at 4,800lbs+. Also if you check my original comment, I was not stating matter-o-factly that the SQ5 is 2.5 tons, I was simply saying that it is very close to 2.5 tons. Also the 2018 Audi SQ5 makes 354 hp, again right in line with my statement of it making less than 400hp. I truly believe that most german car manufacturers underate their horsepower numbers though, so it could be slightly higher, but I'm willing to bet it's still under 400hp. 😁
@noirceur_6 жыл бұрын
@Gas Pedal Subscribe you're right this Porsche is basically the base model Porsche that a dentist would drive, but let me show you one thing that that does not lie... Numbers. For the 2018 Audi SQ5 it has 12.42lbs per 1hp. For the 2018 Porsche 718 Base it has 9.81lbs per 1hp, meaning that it has a better power to weight ratio than the Audi SQ5. Here are some more numbers, 2018 Audi SQ5 0-60mph is 5.1 seconds as tested and reported by multiple sources. 2018 Porsche 718 Boxster Base with PDK transmission (as shown in the video) is 4.4-4.5 seconds 0-60 (different reports by different magazines, sorry).

Yes, its porsche. yes it does look nice, yes it drives well but what is the point of all that if you have 2.0 litre engine which sounds like vacuum cleaner? Also think abou it, you are out with your mates, they have M2's, M4's, RS6's, Gtr's etc and you show up in a porsche with 2.0 litre engine...Porsche should never go below 3.0 litre petrol engine in sport coupe. And I know you all will criticse my comment and you are one of the reasons why soon there will be no more V12's, V10's or V8's. Sport cars will have motorcycle engines with 50.000 mile life span.
@vladbejat6 жыл бұрын
it has a 2.0 engine just because it's the entry level car of Porsche and it's more attractive to people because it still has lots of power but it's cheaper and you pay less tax and insurance and better fuel economy (I know that if you have the money to get a Porsche you probably don't care about that but there are x5, x6 and 7 series with 2.0 diesel engines soo I don't know)
@band1t6206 жыл бұрын
