Porsche 718 Boxster | The Perfect Roadster?

The Boxster is an iconic mid-engined two seater sports car, and the 718 model marks its fourth generation.
The car offers a good deal of power, and more space inside than you would expect. It is 'typically Porsche' and has the high-end quality that you would expect from the brand. Beyond that, it is great fun to drive! So the question is... is this car the perfect roadster?

My favourite car. Once you’ve driven a mid engine car, there’s no going back. You look for roundabouts or mountain hairpins. Exhilarating and joyful memories.

absolutely bob on. Most think a fast car is only about 0-60, once you’ve been mid engined you realise is more about being able to carry speed where other can’t

This 718 is absolutely beautiful. The best looking Porsche in my option. Not overloaded and..... do you really need more? I don't miss the half second you get when you have the S. We are going to the Alps every year having fun with our friends. Something you can never demonstrate in a video is the way this car behaves, it simply does what you want to do.. follows all curves precisely. Every time I open my garage, I am smiling about our beauty. Great video, thanks.

Why is your music so loud?

I got my first ever Boxster about two months ago after trading in my 2014 Panamera. One thing I not is that in these reviews, I see the controls on the steering wheel. Mine doesn't have those and the sale guy said they don;t put that sort of stuff on " racing vehicles". I do miss the steering wheel controls, especially the volume for the stereo. Can i get an aftermarket steering wheel retrofitted?

Hi, The best way to check would be by looking on the Porsche Tequipment website (tequipment-finder.porsche.com/gb). On there you can select your model of Boxster and it will give you a list of everything that is retrofittable from a Porsche Centre with official Porsche Parts. If there are no multifunction steering wheel options on there for your model then it is unlikely that one is available. If you do find something on there for your car then please get in touch with us on [e-mail] and we can give you some further details.
