Let's talk about the cheapest and first exhaust mod you should do to the 718 Spyder, GT4 and GTS models.

Best thing I've ever done is to install this valve controller. Huge improvement. Thanks for recommending it and thanks to Cargraphic for making the device! Highly recommend it - you can actually hear your car properly at normal speeds.

Since the remotes are essentially garage door openers, couldn’t you setup the homelink system in the car to operate the controller??

Many thanks Andreas for this fantastic tip. At the beginning of the video you mentioned that you just have to pull the flap hoses left and right. Since I think that a lot of people only want to drive with the flaps open anyway, that's an extremely interesting hint. I tried it straight away. You don't have to lift the car or remove the diffuser, you just put your hand under the fender and you can even pull out this little metal hose without effort, you don't even need a screwdriver. I think it would also be worth having a video of its own. Thanks again

@@WheelsToys Thank you, you are right with the Autobahn-Noise, 301 km/h. ;) Since i have at the moment an error in the dashboard concerning winter tire pressure sensor, wich will be fixed, I cannot tell whether this procedure will give another error in the dashbord, or may be just internal error recording. What do you mean with "plug the line again"?. A GT3 video recommends screws in the open hoses. Do I have to expect any damage to the vacuum-box? Than you for your answer.

@@PascalWinter a common way is to plug the vacuum lines with a 6mm set screw and then reattach - stops dirt getting the valve or the vacuum line. For a quick experiment you can plug the lines with a golf tee !

Hello Andreas, Great installation video and information on how the PSE exhaust works. Do you any information and videos on installing the value control unit along with Cargraphic Silencer on a 991.2? I was considering installing it on my 2019 C4 w/o a PSE. The exhaust is way to quiet. Thank you, Chris

Hi Chris! Unfortunately don’t have a 991 to do this operation on. But I did have one before. You need to remove the bumper to access the engine for this operation on the 991 if I recall right. If you email Cargraphic they will be able to send you a PDF of where to install it. That should give you a hind on how easy or difficult this would be. But as a first step. Try disconnecting the vacuum lines under the car by the exhaust an plug them (the lines from the engine) with golf pegs and some plastic tape. Take a short ride and listen. If that is the sound you like, then get the remote. If it’s still to quite, get a new back box as well. :)

Hello Andreas, On a GTS 4.0 with PDK and Porsche sport exhaust ON, are the values open or closed cruising at highway sppeds of 70 mph (tach around 2000 rpms)? The exhaust sound doesn't seem to change in volume or sound switching the PSE On or Off. Thank you, Chris

It will be closed. To have them open you will need to push it hard or install a controller.

Nice mod. Sounds good. Seems odd that you pay over 100k and have to take the car apart to hear your exhaust. I guess we will all get used to silent cars when the electric regs go into effect.

It sure is. :) How you access the engine is a bitt different between the Spyder and the Cayman, but you do not need to remove the cage or anything. :)
