What a machine Pete. I have driven a only a 997 GT3 and I was smitten even then. Even if this car was in my price range, Porsche dealers in the UK wouldn't sell me one and many I fear will end up as garage queens or will get flipped for a huge profit. There's a Midweek 180 there somewhere.

@@gav25x Ped asked about image quality and how we all view videos in his MW180. HD to 4K is is big jump in terms of cost and logistics. If you view on your phone/stream it’s not an issue. We don’t pay to view these after all. Maybe you need to view a channel with Patreon funding and become a sponsor. Failing that a bigger channel with closer ties to manufacturers but I can guarantee it won’t be as honest in the reviews and there won’t be a tight knit community. You also won’t get the interaction with the channel that Ped always provides. You pays your money (or not) and you make your choices. Personally I couldn’t be happier with mine…

Hey Ped amazing review. I think we are both from the same generation who are analogue and enjoy manual transmission. It's still part of the overall experience. 100 per cent manual. I had a dsg Skoda and it was great for commuting.

Agreed. Great review. Interested in both of your views on is this too close to the 991.2 GT3 RS….? The 991.2 GT3 is brilliant as it’s comfortable on the road and track. Harry Metcalfe’s review of this car got me thinking……. Worth an upgrade from a 991.2 GT3 or not? Many thanks.

Great video Pete, I think the 360 shots work well! Incidentally, you had a few drone shots in your video - were they filmed by Mike as well? I have a drone and enjoy shooting aerial footage, if you would like some help with some shots whenever you're doing reviews, let me know, I'd be happy to help - I'm by no means an expert, but just enjoy cars and drones!

Definitely glad I waited tell I knew I could watch the video all at one time. Those were some amazing shots and that 360 degree camera was sweet. Definitely a great color for the car! Awesome sounding car and my favorite part was the blue seat belts and the rear quarter of the car. I agree I’d keep the wings and forget the roll cage. I’d also do the rear seat delete. My z28 camaro has a staggered wheel setup as well. Overall fantastic job on the video Sir Pete it was a treat to watch.

Hi Ped I knew before turning on this evening, that this was a car you were going to enjoy, got that right. Loved the production with the 360, brilliant. Had to smile on your comment on the “Ackerman steering”, when I collected my 991 C4S and drive home, I thought I had broken it when manouvering into the garage.😥 Quick call to the dealer who apologised for not warning me. Super car and very desirable, note your preference for manual, but I personally would go for PDK on a daily driver. Well done you keep going from strength to strength.🍷🍷

Some great video, does it ever stop raining in the UK? We spent nearly 4 weeks there before Covid and we found out about wet and damp. You are very quick to catch 500+HP and damp roads. I know I have said it already, but some bloody good video. As we go into our Australian summer here, we have to contend with melting road surfaces.

Are you saying the app picks up the data from the phone's orientation sensor, in order to determine the viewing angle, so it can use that as a reference point?

Yep. Exactly that. You can move the orientation with your finger on the screen but using the movement sensors on the phone is much smoother 👍

Fantastic car and looks stunning in that colour. Kudos to Porsche for sticking with a high revving normally aspirated engine for the GT3 (which sounds epic) and giving buyers the option of a manual or the excellent PDK gearbox. Makes the GT3 more desireable imo than a Mclaren, Ferrari or Lambo.

This another route to driving purity a manual gear box with a naturally aspirated engine, having a redundant left leg whilst driving no matter how fast is not properly being involved. I love this GT3 but I will still go for the mid engined Cayman, all the same chasing the revs to the limiter..oh well I’m one of those that may never sit in this car unless I win the lottery. Nice content Pete.

A wonderful movie to watch on a wintery Friday evening. That GT3 is some car. I too would pick the manual option and wing and maybe those seats. I really liked the new 360 camera and how you used it/edited the footage to mage your film just great. I use a 360 camera for work taking stills. They are very clever.

Smart video Pete but the car is epic & that blue looks 👌. You are right as always about the gearbox choice, pdk would be easier but it's a 911, not a Panamera & it won't be an option for long. My TTRS is manual & gets a lot of love from others because of it & the fact that you can't spec one now, they're all S-Tronic. I love the practicality of space in the back, mine being a tailgate & folding seats meant I could get my built in combination oven in the back this week to drop it off for repair..... can't do that in a booted coupe, so yes I'd say.... do without the role cage in the 911 & get packed up for some epic journeys 👍🏻
