I've a 1996 993 C2 iris blue metallic, 66,000 miles, 6-speed manny tranny, LSD, varioram. No CEL, no oil leaks. I'm never selling it. I do 90% of the maintenance myself. I just replaced both the HVAC and oil cooler ballast resistors... fun... not!

Lovely cars but getting out of reach, I personally think that the chronically undervalued 996 might represent better long term value. Although having one of the last air cooled cars does have appeal.

I would like to agree with you but the 996 just does not look as good.

@@Rednospunk I think you’re right a last 993 would be my preference too but they’re just out of reach for many whilst a 996 is (just)

Where is the video you did on the Opel Grand land
@JohnsGarageIreland2 жыл бұрын
I just hid it as it was showing with the wrong orientation, I can put it back if you want.
@donalconneely32412 жыл бұрын
Ya put it back i think car dealers and manufacturers would love to hear car experts and you tuber professional opinion on their products referred to as Shit. As a car enthusiasts I have my favourites which im not afraid to say are Opel/Vauxhall and Mercedes in that order I would never lower myself to call a car shit I know they're poor manufactured models of cars from id say every manufacturer to date has at some time built or branded under their badge and unreliable models also. But your review was poor your opinion is your opinion but it may not also be accurate wrong orientation from the start was like a car manufacturer making a car sending to market and not even test driving it. You have other videos and the editing is poor also eg work on the rover explaining what you're doing and camera angle gets your bell and the passenger side wing view for most of the clip. And a shot of the back of your head as you explain the details of the door card in a new ds model. I hope you don't take this as negative feed back only try and improve on your editing and less ( shit) comments as its ignorant/poor taste my opinion as i do think you have a good platform for a KZbin channel

@@donalconneely3241 Hi Donal. As secretary of the Opel Club you're well enough placed to know that I'm not having a go at the Opel brand, quiet the contrary. The Grandland is as I said it was. It's genuinely a poor car for the reasons outlined. I don't feel there is a need for you to mock my work to get your point across. I'm not a professional KZbinr as you say, I'm not in the motor trade, all opinions are my own and are based on my experience. For the record, I've owned 3 Opels all of which have been very positive and liked.
@donalconneely32412 жыл бұрын
Thank you for going into my profile and having a look hope it helped with your reply. Or try to make a point I didn't mock you or was that my intention but you have your opinion on that if I wanted to I could you my not be a professional in the motor tarde or want to except my opinion. I asked you not to take it as negative but hoped it will help your editing skills and reviews to improve going forward but time will tell. As I said you have a good platform for a KZbin channel also an Irish channel it would be a petty for one not to learn form positive and negative replys because I have yet to see someone improve from not taking or learning from a negative. You have a nice day and again do not take this as a mock or negative.
