The 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S has 380 ft lb torque and on the 2023 Carrera GTS there is 420 ft lb torque. You quoted 350 for the S and 380 for the GTS. Your videos are very informative. I have been blessed to own a 2021 Guards Red 911 Carrera S, and traded for a 2022 GT Silver 911 GTS Cabriolet. Both are incredible, but the the GTS Cab is the best sports car l have ever owned. Great car!

@@michaelwolpmann9453 Hi, Porsche ticket price, MSRP. I am in Australia and our dealers do not play those games. For a GTS you just join the queue and will almost certainly get an allocation. However the GT market is a little different, you have to have a bit of 'history' with the Porsche brand, but still no mark up. Although we do pay an enormous amount more for Porsche's in in Aust compared to USoA (mostly tax). My '22 GT3 was US$315, the GTS is US$290k. After sales, they hold their value.

Central lock wheel is a no no for me. So is carbon fiber. For me, Carrera S with the right config is much more preferable than the GTS. No need for the extra power and torque of the GTS; even make it less fun to drive. The S has more than enough power and torque.

I think you mean subjective not speculation. He said basically leather will wear better than Racetex and not mat down. Plus leather is easier to clean and that’s not subjective.

I doubt there's much tangible differences in all the Carrera models, it's all marketing. Base, Carrera S can dress up n perform superbly close to a GTS.

You do know the base Carrera doesn’t have a lot of crucial options like lsd, sport kit styling, Pasm. Carrera s tho you can get close but will be more expensive so at that point you want gts lol

There is noticeable difference in the personality of these cars. Each one a little more dialed up and sharp than the next. I’ve driven many 992’s and went for the gts bc it’s much more raucous than the base.

You are wrong, and at same time you are right. They have a different software settings to make a different character in pretty much same hardware. Meaning, if you make little tweak to S, it’s going to be pretty much the same car as GTS and the fact is there’s no GTS exclusive stuff.

Gts has terrible ride quality and the ugly black centre lock wheels. The S is a much better daily driver. Check Nick Murray's comparison.

This is the beauty of Porsche there are so many options and there is not a one size fits all. Some like black wheels some don't, some don't like a bit stiffer suspension some like it a bit softer.... I am a GTS guy because I like the way they drive over the S they make less and tend to hold their value better but some disagree but everyones needs and preferences are different. Nick Murray may prefer an S ( as well as yourself) for how he/you would plan to use the car in his/your life... everyone is different 👍🏼
