They are all good cars, but there is something Porches that makes them such an special sport car, this GT3 is nothing but a beauty in every sense... GT3 all the way.. 470 + HP's out of a 3.8 liter normal aspirated engine is sweet.. :-)

It is not that difficult to get to drive a Porsche 911. I do not own one but have driven different variation on numerous occasions. The GTR is impressive for price but it is not at the same level as the 911 GT3 it is not even in the game to be honest.

sw1000xg Who gives a f*ck if the GTR is faster. This isn't the drag strip.GTR is a full step below a GT3 RS in every regard. It may be faster with it's awd and launch control but when/if the Nissan Engineers get their 90s swag back and make a manual for the GTR then get back to me. I guarantee you most enthusiast would rather have an R34 over the current GTR which is loads faster in stock form, so does that make the R34 Superior? Why would you compare an awd automatic to a 6speed rwd car? If you wanna compare Nissan and Porsche we can do that compare the 370z with 3.7 liters 350hp Nismo edition again this is Nissan's race spec and compare it to the 3.8 GT3 RS 1st gen which was 435hp or compare it to the 2nd gen 997 Gt3RS which was 3.8 liters 450hp or compare it to the 4.0 GT3 RS which was 500hp. All naturally aspirated!!! Enough said since you're all about straight line speed. If you think the GTR is that awesome I guarantee you that the GTR head to head against it's real competitors Carrera Gt,GT2 RS, or even the 918 Spyder has no chance..CASE CLOSED!

I don't know why, but I have never liked porsche 911, never driven one (almost got my license), but recently, like over the last 2 weeks, iv almost become obsessed haha, bit confusing, 997 911, 991 911, 4s, 2s.. Gt2, gt3 etc, but I'm enjoying watching every video I can find on them, and damn, I want one :p

Jack Thorpe Each of those cars you named offer different characteristics. GT cars tend to be track like and the GT RS are full on track like. You could pick up a Porsche Cayman for about £10,000 second hand. And they are an amazing light weight Porsche.

No! They said it is faster than the pdk but i think they talked about the normal pdk from the carrera. The one in the gt3 Is an optimized version of the standard pdk. Even if it would be faster than the normal pdk the pdk still would be the best gearbox. It is not only about the shifting times.

I'm am so sick and tired of the GTR's and their fanboys. It's a turd that can go real fast, however it will never be a real sport car. It lacks engineering, heritage, and it's so ugly!

You Obviously know Jack about the GTR. Lacks engineering? The GTR set the benchmark with its engineering from launch in 2007. Ever since, Ferrari, Porsche and Mclaren ect have now all turned to similar if not the same gizmos the GTR was originally slated for. Heritage? The GTR has been around since 1970's and has raced and won world championships all over the world, from Rally to Super GT, LaMans, GT3 and recently Champions in the GT1 Series. Oh Nismo has just moved the goal posts again with the fastest lap of the Ring of a production car also which HAS sent shock waves through the car industry. As for not being a real sports car, i agree. Truth is, its one of the best Supercars and your entire post just goes to show how far from the truth you actually are.

On every Porsche, Corvette, Ferrari video, you will find them blatantly ignoring everything good about those cars, and simply stating, the GT-R is king, the GT-R is the best. The GT-R is great, but it has acquired a following of immature pre-teens who pretend like they know anything, and arrogant young adults who think they can beat anything and everything on the road. Nuno, RWS has been around for a LONG time and has been mass produced in many vehicles. Honda, Mazda and Ford for example used it a lot in the 80s/90s over multiple models (Prelude, 626/929/Telstar). There are also many cars out there with a passive rear wheel steer where the geometry and rear suspension bushes etc allow toe changes under differing loads on the rear wheel. Don't forget that the 12C has 'brake steer' where it will brake the inside rear wheel slightly in a corner helping it turn.

The Prelude had 4WS in 1987. It was a mechanical system that was geared so it turned the same direction as the front wheels for the first part of the turn and then went the opposite direction as more lock was applied. It was the first mass produced system. Mazda then fitted an electronic 4WS system in their 626 in 1988, MX6 in 1989 and 929 in 1991. It was an electronic system that at low speeds turned the rear wheels in the opposite direction and the same direction at higher speeds.

Yes I have tried the electronic sYstem in a Mazda 929 (there are also quite a few Nissans/Infinitis/Toyotas with 4WS over the years). Made it more nimble in the car parks with a smaller turning circle and more stable on the higher speed corners. However I would hardly call the difference night and day. I seriously doubt it would bend physics in the 911 though. Yes it would make a difference, but not all of the difference over the previous GT3. In fact a lot of professional drivers don't 4WS.
