I'm from the little island of Taiwan, where Porsche AG places little value. However, Taiwan sold 18 Porsche 918 Spiders in 2013 (for close to 1.5 million USD, when it's only less than half anywhere else in the world when 918 couldn't be sold else where), but only gave Taiwan 4 allocations 911 S/T 2024 (due to Stuttgart decisions). The first car i drove (after i passed my driver's license test and almost killed someone) was a pink 964 convertible manual 5 speed. I fell in love with Porsche immediately. My family has purchased four Porsche 911 Targa's and one 911 Turbo. My father, who refuse to sell the Targa's , still has two (don't ask about the other one). The treatment of Porsche AG, based on geographical importance (and geopolitical importance) rather than actual driver involvements is nothing short of shameful. I, who visited Stuttgart factory in 2010, fell in loved with Porsche, will never love another like the way i loved my first near death experience (floor mounted clutch, scared to death, didn't know anything), loved te flat six sound, and the look in my girl friend's eyes. I loved every moment of it. Now, the big VW machine (who is in a world of hurt) wants to take the real 911 from us. Please stop being a business man. Please remember why the world love you, we love you for German engineering, for Dr. Porsche's vision and madness. There is nothing like Porsche anywhere else in the world. In 200 years, no one will remember VW's stock price today, they will remember your cars today.
