Excellent work. These videos are great. I like that you took the time to show which tools would be needed. It's a nice touch that most channels don't bother to do.

Great suggestion to smoke test the engine before putting it back in the car! I will definitely be doing this once my engine is (finally) ready. Thanks for the video - always fun and educational!

the intake manifold blank has an o-ring on it...is it possible that there is a missing o-ring on the intake manifold side?

You guys are right 🙌 the old gasket was still on there but looked and felt like it was part of the manifold piece. A viewer sent me the part number, we will revisit this in a future episode. Thanks dudes 🤘😎

Beautiful! Is it a fair statement to say that removing those intake manifolds would be impossible with the engine in the car? I can't imagine trying to get to some of those parts with the engine in the car.
@markkearns71132 жыл бұрын
I have a 3.4 996. I removed all of that stuff with the engine in the car. It’s tight in there but wasn’t that bad. A little tip use some of the windshield adhesive and carefully on the vacuum connection at the back of the resonator, glue the vacuum hose on. Keeps it from slipping off if your working in there and accidentally pull on that vacuum line it will slip right off. Reattaching it is a pain in the ass.

Allegedly they can be removed with the engine in the car 😲 Could someone please design a quick mount engine system for these cars, engine removal in 10 minutes? 🙏 Thank you for watching Tom 🤘😎

You are missing the O-ring.
@ManinaGarage2 жыл бұрын
Hello Meir, Are you saying that from the factory there is an O-ring on the inside of the Intake Manifold Adapter? Is it like the one I improvised at 6:44 in episode 55? kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3-VYWmZarxkipI Thank you for your help! 🙌
@meirschwartz85542 жыл бұрын
Yes Sir. the part number (that was also updated) is 99970116341
@meirschwartz85542 жыл бұрын
BTW. at 6:42 you can see the original black O-ring. That's how it looks after many years of being squashed.
@ManinaGarage2 жыл бұрын
@@meirschwartz8554 🤣😅🤣😅 That’s awesome! Thank you very much. The O-ring was as hard as the plastic it was stuck to, I thought it was part of the manifold adapter mounding! 😲 Even the Porsche parts department where convinced that it does not come with or need an O-ring , let’s see what they say now! I really appreciate you solving the riddle. Thank you for watching🤘😎
