Ok, let's be honest right here. We like the Grand Tour because of the three wizards, but I don't think we should just destroy Top Gear because of that. Having a look at this from a neutral point of view it's actually quite good. The camera work and editing is sublime and Matt's doing a great job presenting. it's 2023 and I envision, that in 20 years from now, the then-car-enthusiasts will look back at the times of the petrol engine, which have long been gone by then and say: "Yes. The 911R was the pinnacle of the old style do-the-driving-yourself sports car. With a true testimoney of what level of refinement internal combustion engines have reached close to the time of their ultimate demise.". If it was me to decide, the 911R is the best sportscar ever made. Period.

Matt LeBlanc is the only good thing on Top Gear. Guy is the only one I find honest as a car guy on the show, has a passion, and is a great speaker. Good job Matt, really good job, would love to talk in person about cars one day. Ideally, The Boys on The Grand Tour has a home for him on that show when Top Gear inevitably dies.

This were just the first season, so the producers had to do some ajustments, not very different from what they had to do back in 2002 and 2003...

I'll tell you why matt leblanc has been the best presenter since the trio left. Cause he got the gist of a good car review. He didn't just review it, he didn't just deploy some specs and a rating. He described the feeling of it, he made analogies, he had tasteful commentary for it all. He knew how to get you interested in him talking about the car, even if you weren't into cars. Even Chris Evans doesn't seem to be able to get that in his head, same as the other presenters. And that's why this top gear feels like late 90s top gear.

I was going to buy a 911, until I drove the 718s for less than half the price, and I love it, it’s got all the creature comfort it’s not as fast (but still very fast), and the interior is very close to the 911, and it drives and sounds just wow.

Agree, I had a deposit on a 911 and decided to take the Boxster out for drive. I bought the Boxster, it just handles better. Did a Porsche track day, using their cars, these wasn’t a 911 that passed me.

I was upset as everyone else when BBC fired Jeremy, and I'll admit, Chris Evans did not fit the huge hole that was left by Clarkson, Captain slow and hamster, but at the end of the day, aren't we the real winners? No horrible scripted lines or acting, just talking about cars and driving them! This wasn't bad...Matt should continue to do videos like this, this is definitely his formula. Matt do more of these types of videos, this was really good content. Chris has always had his formula and it works perfectly for him and it's simply amazing to watch him do what he does. Chris your formula isn't broken, it glorious. Rory, the video with the Mustang was perfect! until you started talking, and please don't take it the wrong way but look back at that film and imagine open road driving with nothing but the engine note and tires. It was to segway into the new Mustang which is cool, I get that, but working the old and new could be your thing. The old, don't say anything, let the car do the talking and the new, obviously tell us about the car, the new this and that.
