@@benjaminwiner6220 I always ask myself how the idiots/giant experts can know how Porsche calculates its cars. None of you know how much development work (= costs) has gone into the car, what the specially adapted parts for such small series cost and what marketing and sales cost. I know the dealer who has that car, and he was originally trying to get $1 million for it. So far Porsche hasn’t actually sold all the S/T allocations though, and that’s actually their own fault for making the buyers commit to a one year lease before they’re allowed to buy it. Anyways, from what I understand no one is willing to go past $450k for the car as of yet, otherwise they can just option one for themselves and commit to the year long lease

Honestly, it feels great, dances beautifully, seems perfect. Except the looks. I love 911s, but they are getting too big, and the back is now ugly. You also now barely can see outside your side window. No matter how it is to drive and sound, at this point and price, it needs to feel and look good. Those air intakes are horrible. The touring makes it less on your face. From this gen, I would either get a Dakar, a full blown gt3rs (at least is honest at being a race car for the road) or a Targa ( yes I know, worst to drive, but best to look at). Please porsche, next model, go get designers from Alfa Romeo, they'll do great with a 911
@gerhardma4687Ай бұрын
You already know that good or bad looks are always in the eye of the beholder and that you can't and shouldn't argue about taste. Others may like what you don't like just as much. But to then complain so eloquently about Prosche's design decisions is just silly. Don't you buy a car mainly because you like it? If you don't like the S/T, then just leave it alone and stop complaining. This statement interests Porsche as much as when a wild boar scratches an oak tree in Turkmenistan.
@luislopesmetrology3144Ай бұрын
@gerhardma4687 I wasn't really expecting even for Porsche to read it, much less follow whatever advice I have for them. And yes, of course, where one sees ugliness, others see beauty. But have you ever rode in a small sports car where you feel involved, instead of overwhelmed? Not to mention that this huge size also means more weight, more tyre pressure, more loads (and in theory more safety, I'll give them that). For me, it is just not appealing anymore. I'm expressing my feelings on the Web, that's it, my opinion. If you don't like it, drop it too.
@sneeuwballaАй бұрын
@@luislopesmetrology3144 You're 100 pct on the money. I don't understand why people want to defend a company (whose only objective is to make money) over enthousiasts that actually know why these cars used to be liked (lightness and feel). I wonder whether they made their cars bloat because the customers have grown in size too, or whether its for safety reasons.
@luislopesmetrology3144Ай бұрын
@@sneeuwballa that is also a possibility! Many things are marketing. People think carbon doors are always lighter than aluminium, and i can assure you that in two very sporty cars, that is exactly the opposite. Yet marketing demands carbon! I don't have any questions regarding how efficient these cars are, but I would love to see the real good bits of this tech in the size of cars of the 90s. Would be mad

To me it’s hard to call it an ultimate anything without the double wishbone front end. That should be the differentiator between the 911 lines. Top track car, double wishbone front end. Top GT, double wishbone front end. Top road car, double wishbone front end.

It’s simply an ever-so-slightly upgraded version of the 992 GT3 Touring. Porsche’s penchant for saturating their premier 911 model lineup with various incarnations of essentially the same car (becoming more expensive with each release) is nothing more than a shameless money grab.
