Bad ass ride. 1 question though. Wouldn't the luggage rack screw up the aerodynamics and possibly limit the airflow over the engine?

I couldn’t tell based on the video but a full body clear bra or some stone guards are things you might want to consider. I haven’t driven any older 911s but the newer ones tend to fling a lot of rocks around

Had an 1985 Ruf BTR. Should never have sold it. Very cool build Mike. In your climate rain isn’t a big concern…. but all Targa’s of that era leak like crazy. Don’t ever take it through a car wash. Congrats from a former Naval Aviator

I have the exact same car, model and color, but yours is way better! It's been standing still for almost 10 years, I haven't sold it but I've never decided to fix it because I didn't know what to do with it, but now yes, you gave me a super idea! Thanks Mike! Bless u!

My Dad had a 1978 911 Cpe in chocolate brown when I was a kid. Sadly, he sold it when I was 16 in 2001. It's one of my life's goals to find one just like it someday. I can still smell the interior when I think about it. My family had so many great memories in that car. They're truly amazing machines.

Very cool....BUT....PLEASE, please....Do not fall into the mentality that gun owners do...."Oh, noth'in goin on...I'm so chill, the car drives me there" Why do I say that ? Your video , your left hand is half way into the inside of the wheel....Tat is not high performance mind set. Think of a firearm, and how precious micro seconds are wasted in not being ready....Or worse, bad technique. It is th same with driving. Nuff said. You know how that works betrer than anyone. 3.2 is called the Carrera from 84-89, while SC is a 3.0 from 78-83. Sick video tho!!!

There's a tiny helicopter you can buy for around 10k and if they're under a certain weight it doesn't require a license to fly. Extremely tempting let me tell you but I currently have no use for it

Get h4 lights and plastic covers for the lights. They sell a relay kit so you can run hotter bulbs. The SC is about the best car they ever built. They put dilivar head studs which is the Achilles heel of the SC. They will just break for no reason. They suck. Otherwise, if you keep good oil, zinc added, it will go a long way. If you ever need a referral for a top notch tech, just comment and I will email you. I have a 76 that we are building a 993 3.6 motor for. It is in a million pieces but was super cool when I last had it running. I'd keep a stock air cleaner on it. Much better but doesn't sound as cool. Enjoy! I've had my 76, 78, 83, 87 and 91 and have currently the 76 and a 99. Plus 928's and 944 and 944t. Regret selling all of them. Iconic cars with tons of character.

You ruined a good car, this is no good. Oil cooler is on the other side. That AC is a boat anchor. 3.4 liter is what you want. If you need a good air cooled mechanic let me know. Hands down gearing and a limited slip diff is the up grade you need.
