Hey, I have the same issue and would like to do the same fix. Could you send me the link to purchase the item? I appreciate you filming it. 👍Also I heard a lot of the problems come from the moving of the whole column up and down to frequently after get old. Better to keep in situ and never move it..haha. great work!

Hi. Todd,Great Job, Patience is a virtue there as it is when working on 928’s Good that replacements are available ✅ I’ve had mine out twice,due to a minute crack on the binnacle First was replacing the speedo gear Your right Todd,I have been in the Wars BestRegards Frank👍

Not too sure about your voltmeter, you should be reading about 13v when driving, oil,pressure will be around 5 bar when cold and should drop to 2-3 bar at idle when fully warmed up. Really glad you got the speedo fixed at last 👍

Thanks Mick - I suspect the resistor on the back of the cluster is slightly wrong (I replaced it with my own find). I’ll check the 2-3 bar, I think that’s what I’m seeing

I’ve understood that the voltmeter doesn’t always read correctly and may need to be adjusted to “calibrate” with actual volts. If ok at battery, starter and alternator, that’s what’s important. Excellent video, btw! 👍🏼

@OB928 yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s out of calibration. But it also pings up and down, indicating a bad connection somewhere. I’ll track that down first and then set the gauge :)

Oil pressure going full stop high might be due mucky, stuck pressure sender on the engine. Easy fix just by removing and cleaning.

Thanks :) I think it’s working correctly, pinned at max while engine is cold (and oil is thick), once it’s warm it drops a little when the engine is idling

@@MrToddgibbs My Lotus pressure gauge behaves exactly like that, using thick 20w 50 oil.

Is the 1978 circuit board suitable for both manual and automatic transmissions? I ask this because both differ in dash layout.

1978 circuit foil Is suitable for manual and automatic. The layout is the same.
