Thank NC for sharing. This video was and eye opener for me to understand the way bolts and nuts are specified. Belmetric is the key for getting all the main hardware for this car. I just purchased 200 plus with them. Let me know how can I share with you pictures of my 944 Turbo how is coming along. Is not even close to the neatness of yours. But is pretty, pretty decent. Thank you for this video! How did you clean your engine to be so clean? Dry ice?

Hey sure! The cleaning a bit more involved than the dry ice method unfortunately, but was essentially glass bead blasting and zinc plating on the steel parts, powder coating on the intake and camshaft housing, and a bunch of new hardware. Where did you get the 16 zinc screws that screw the top of the fender down along either side of the engine bay. The pet catalog just says combination screw. Doesn’t give a size.

Those are one item that I went with OEM Porsche because the have a washer pre-installed on the screw. They were about $27 for 17 of them under part number: N09-017-21. They were covered in exterior-colored paint during the coating process at the factory, but I like the the zinc plated look a bit better.
