Porsche 987 / 997 Front Trunk Opening When The Battery Is Completely Dead

Since Covid 19 I barely have the time drive my Porsche boxster 987 , I haven't drove it for about 3 weeks and the battery is completely dead , check out how I opened the front trunk in order to get access to the battery and jump start it.

Thank you!! I have 2 trickle chargers, TB6000Pro and a cheaper one and neither worked. I used the battery of my other car and boom, worked perfectly. Thank you thank you

Thank you for posting the video, I have also a Noco showing the same red lighting like yours when connected to the car. It is a safety mode that needs to be override if you want the Noco to behave like a battery instead of a jump starter. First of all, you need to start the Noco unconnected to the car, and then push the button with a bulb sign on it for 3 seconds until the white light shows up, then you can connect the cables to the car. Be careful with sparks at this point. This mode allowed me to open the trunk without any other battery by using the remote. Plus, my battery was unconnected because the car was left in storage for a long period, so this method works either having a battery dead or unconnected. In any case, your video helped a lot so thank you again for posting it.
