I’ll say it again, getting improved figures on this kind of car is very impressive. The car is already well engineered

Probably one of the best stock airboxes we have tested so to get a measurable gain was a great result.
@farhaanwilliams20122 жыл бұрын
Do the air intakes utilise a ram effect when driving, and if so, what are the gains on the road at speed?
@pn89022 жыл бұрын
@@farhaanwilliams2012 the dyno runs have a fan in front of the car to simulate the airflow. The gains would be quite similar or less than a road test I’d say.

@triedproven99082 жыл бұрын
Very nice. Also want to mention the dyno results would be exacerbated with the ram air effect of the car in motion. Would have liked to see you design the rest of that induction tract aswell. I'm sure that would have resulted in a significant increase in flow. One point of criticism. The Y where the two induction paths meet could have been tapered more by adding a spitter at the opposite side of the throttle housing. It would allow for more laminar flow by not letting the two competing air streams clash before being directly parallel, or close to it. Great stuff.
@Eventuri2 жыл бұрын
Yeah we did consider this but the volume is so large in the airbox and the relative speed of the flow into the throttle body isn’t enough to create too much of an issue at the intersect.
@ahustlersapproach44242 жыл бұрын
I'm designing a smart spoiler for the the same car. As car gets to higher speed little ducts open in the spoiler that direct airflow into the filter but mainly to help improve down force. Especially when cornering.

@GunfightersINC2 жыл бұрын
I'm considering this intake for my GT3RS but, I have a suspicion that Porsche designed their intake the way they did so as to trap any water that may have been drawn into the open side intakes.. which has always been a concern for me as I do drive my car in the rain on the street and track. Could you speak to this as it doesn't seem to consider water a factor, only air.

Would redesigning the inlets all the way from the side air intakes to the beginning of your current system also provide gains? Have you thought about swapping to a larger throttle body as well to see if more performance can be gained?
@vincent53022 жыл бұрын
Nice intake, but there'll hardly be any gains at the track coz the 2 side pods always supply positive pressure to the filter. 180 degree turns or bends of the stock airbox won't make a difference except for daily driving where the e-venturi intake will provides less resistance. Dyno showed increase peak hp due less filtration. Nonetheless, on non-WOT applications, it will definitely provide an improved throttle response and delta gains. Not the most cost effective though... but beautiful and awesome design.

Kudos to Eventuri for yet another beautiful piece of kit. I just wish that I could afford this level of car! Can you please expand upon the logic behind reverse flow conical filters? If the concept is as effective as claimed then I would assume that other aftermarkets would do the same or similar. I'm not aware of other similar products, so the overall concept seems different for the sake of being different. Not trying to sharpshoot, just genuinely curious. Congrats on reaching production!

You don’t see other companies implement it in the same way because Eventuri hold the patent for it! Can find more info on the filter and it’s placement here - www.eventuri.net/filters/

Ever thought about making less expensive models out some sort of plastic with the same result but with a lower price? Would be interested in one for my M2 Competition. But here in Switzerland they are about 3000 Sfr.
@EvolveAutomotive2 жыл бұрын
Eventuri did that for a few models. The tooling costs are far higher meaning the product isn't substantially cheaper. Along with this most customers still went for the CF variant.

From what you've said the stock side inlets and ducting seem to be somewhat of a bottleneck, what was preventing you from redesigning them also? Lack of space? Cost/complexity?
@Eventuri2 жыл бұрын
Since the air is pushed into them from the side panels, that reduces the issue of the inlets being a restriction.
