Porsche 992 GT3 VS Mclaren 720s Track Chase POV

Having some fun chasing a friend in his 2018 720s. Trying to keep up while he had worse tires but more power and I had new tires and a less powerful. Made for a fun cat-mouse dynamic since he pulls away in straights but I brake later and corner faster. Can't even imagine a 720s on some grippier tires!

That GT3 needs another 100bhp. The Mclaren needs some better brakes and aero. Personally I would choose the GT3. Both are mega motors :).

The GT3 is actually a bit faster in the corners than the McLaren, even with the same driver. The GT3 and 720s are pretty close in lap times; closer than you'd think based on the power difference. But I do agree; I also think that the GT3 driver is a bit faster

It depends. The GT3 carries more speed in corners. So if the track has lots of low speed corners and straight aways, the McLarens acceleration will definitely make it faster. But look at the Nordshlieffe for example. That's a very high speed track, and the GT3 is faster, because it can carry more speed everywhere@@nazarpredatorak

At the end it was a classic example of watching the car in front instead of the road, that's why you lost control. Gread driving anyway! Seems like a very nice track, with plenty of room down the sides in case you push to much. My local track is very narrow with walls close, I am always afraid to go at the absolute limit.

Gt3 has 210 less hp (and about 50000 euro cheaper)but keep up anyway. Gt3 seems faster in corners while 720 of course pulls away because of more hp and biturbo while gt3 has a NA engine. I take the GT3 over the 720. The 720 driver tests the offroad capabilities in the end😂

There's a really big skill gap between the drivers. Like in the second corner you can tell the MC driver can't drive a rwd car

30 seconds in, I knew it was just a matter of when not if the McL was gonna lose it. It was trying way too hard to stay ahead, as opposed to the GT3 was just tagging along until the when.

Mclaren 720s smoke porsche gt3s all day... not a fair comparison... Im a huge porsche enthusiast but im realistic... that 720 just walks off on straights... i think this came down to the driver... i kept waiting for the gt3 to pass but it took the mclaren going off the road for that to happen.. 700 plus HP to 500HP gt3 is not that impressive although they sound good and are a blast to drive

Because it has a whopping THIRTY PERCENT less power. Can't overtake in the straights coz of 210whp difference, and can't overtake in the corners because the McLaren driver can't drive for shit. No way am I risking my GT3 just because a rich kid decided to go out with his 720s. That driver has no skill at all, I'm not endangering my life and more importantly, my car. If the 720s was behind the GT3, it would've been left behind coz of driver skill difference

@@nstipet i disagree. i've seen more McLarens on track days than I have any other supercar brand outside of Porsche. They are great drivers cars. I agree that they have reliability issues, but as long as you get the warranty, you're generally fine.
