The car didn't get stuck when using high range. The traction control just has a harder time braking the wheels that are spinning. I'm sure it would've gotten to the top if you hadn't stopped accelerating That's just how the traction control system works

Try Touareg v6 or v10 2006 you will never get stuck. And you get up there more smoothly 😉
