Great video. Thanks for posting. I watched this through many times in preparation for my own first event at NJMP Lightning with NNJR PCA. I was in a 2015 981 Boxster GTS that was essentially stock other than Ferodo brake pads, so it was nice to have a sense of what the car was capable of prior to hitting the track. Great driving and keep up the good work. Maybe I'll see you at an NNJR event one of these days. Be well!

Excellent driving. Stayed calm like driving on a Sunday the whole time with great lap times. Thanks for sharing! Will have a more comfortable line on turn 5, a little different than what I was coached on. What are you using to show lap times and car gauges during recording of this video?

are you running 255/35/20 285/35/20 RE71r? I want them for my 981 just cant find a size that seems right for my 20" Carrera S wheels. maybe you have different wheels.

I should have added to the description that I had to downsize to 19” wheels in order to be able to use the stock sizes (235 and 265). I went with O.Z. Ultraleggera HLT 19x8.5 and 19x10. Tires are RE-71R 235/40R19 and 265/40R19. Wheels and tires from Tire Rack.

Tires sizes for RE71R in 20" are limited. Here is a spreadsheet I created for all available tires sizes for 19" and 20" for RE71R and Hoosiers: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iftVI00h4xtd26dA1hDFXnaCutQe4AzLE-KSCnnAhGc/edit The bottom line is that for 20", your only option is 235/35R20 and 265/35R20. There are more (wider) options available for 19" wheels, which is why I have 19" wheels (see Description for which wheels I use).

Nice lap times! Are tires the only upgrade?

Yes, the car at that time was fully stock, but it did have a roll bar, racing seat and harness.
