I will buy 911, but the 4 seats really turn me off....it is a sport car ! The mid engine in Cayman S make it look so appealing from side view...so yeah....Cayman S alright!!

all Caymans are coupes. the word "coupe" is usually only added to differentiate a car from a sedan or convertible of the same model. but the Cayman has no other body types so placing the word "coupe" is redundant and unnecessary. got the point? if you still haven't then i don't what else to say. other people got it so i don't know why you can't.

About 400 or so. The engine takes nine liters of synthetic plus you have the filter and a few other odds are checked out while up in the air. I have never done a visit to the dealer without getting a few things looked at as well as a full detail cleaning. So think 700 and you are quite safe.

8 litres. I just did an oil change on my recently acquired 09 2.9 - Had 2 S's before that, prefer the lighter base model (gen 2)

The point I am making is that you do not get what you pay for. Yes, I have a C4S the way I want it, but, I know that the Porsche engineers have that car tuned downwards also. Look at the very similar engine specs across the 911 line and ask why do they produce different output results? Really, a person with their eyes open can see Porsche produces just another well marketed product that hits a pile of price points. They do not produce a supercar or a high end car. It is just another product.

I know you're asking about an oil change from the Porsche Dealership but I just wanted to add my bit of advice. I pay $175 at the shop I take my Cayman S to. I did a ton of research and they came highly recommended by the guys at Planet-9. All they work on are German cars and mostly just Porsche and BMW. I think they take better care of my car than the Porsche dealership. Also, I get my oil changed ever 5000-6000 miles as opposed to the suggested 20,000 miles.

NEVER better than a 911, by design. The Cayman S is de-tuned in order to keep it just a bit slower and just a tad behind the 911. The Porsche engineers went so far as to simply leave out the locking rear end differential entirely in its first year. Now that is just blatantly kicking a good mid-engine design in order to keep it slower. Even the most recent edition is kept down to 325 HP where that engine could easily do 350 or even 360 with a proper GT3 throttle body and IPD air intake assembly.

lastmiles i think Cayman is brillant. Cheaper than 911 and more handling and storage spaces due to mid engine.. great toy, great for 2nd weekend car. And if someone hit from the back which happens quite often in real world, 911 pretty much destroyed due to the engine room reside at the back but with mid engine Cayman?, no worries ...
