Hello! Thanks for the video. I am planning to do this retrofit for my 2020 Macan. I have purchased pdls+ headlights, but I see they have smaller amount of pins compared to regular LED lights. Is it enough to plug and code or rewiring has to be done? P.S car is equipted with Lane assist

Updates: So I coded this using a X431 device, I used the online automatically coding feature, I changed two settings: Change the main beam option from 8IS (US LED) to 8EX(ECE LED), and PDLS option from 8G1(US PDLS+ high beam assist) to 8G2(Euro PDLS+ Dyn high beam ), I was able to tick the "Dyn high beam" box, but if I push the beam lever forward it onlys turn high beam on, the green "auto beam" icon does not comes on. Previously the green "auto beam" icon would come on if I push the lever, will investigate this issue further

Did you figure this out? Also going to recode my lights to row. I wonder if this programming makes the high beams dynamic in a sense that they're always on and turns off or dim when they need to.

I made such coding (with some issues which I fix afterwards). Anyway, in PDLS SAE there is no option to switch on "vertical" dimming. This option even in manual coding without rules is not possible to turn on. Can it be force or LED-PDLS headlight for model year 2017, for US market are different in hardware? Now I can see it change light projection up and down according to upcoming traffic, but it not make "pocket" for it.

I have a 2017 Macan GTS Japan and it has the LED headlights with dynamic high beam assist. The four LEDs wont light up during the day which i assume they should be DRLs. However at night when i open the door after switching off the car, they will light up. And when unlocking. How can i enable them to work during the day?

Depends on the headlights installed, You need to have navigation and front camera in windscreen.

I'm going to assume your not in the US. On my US macan when I added pdls+ I only have ""high beam assist" I think this is because US cars don't allow the active dimming that the row has. If I follow this coding can I change my pdls+ lights to row?

On the Macan, PDLS+ just switches high beam off and on and raises the beam slightly in some scenarios, such as on a motorway etc, on a country road with a car in the distance etc. It's not to be compared to say matrix lights which keep high beam active but dim around the cars approaching etc.

The US cars have on/off high beam assist. Others get dynamic main beam where the high beam is shaped depending on conditions but not a true matrix beam.

Yes you can. You need all the headlight modules for this to work a none of your original xenon ones will work.

Yes it can, however, its locked and requires a VIN specific activation code to unlock the feature to be able to switch it on. This can be purchased online and then dealer will usually code it for an hours labour along with activation code.

@@automotiveprogramming won't work with original vas6154. Will only work with vas6154 clone firmware lower than 1.6.6 or original piwis head. For 2019 car I would be looking at latest version you can get, so 40.400 or newer
