It's new, it's shiny, it has a turbocharged V8. The Porsche Panamera just got very, very desirable.

For this price, the Mercedes-AMG E63 S is a better proposition overall, especially when you take in account that you can basically have all options and still money left before it reaches the Porsche's MSRP. It accelerates way faster, i would think it corners about as good because it's slightly lighter (it doesn't have All wheel steering, so maybe be slightly slower), and to my eyes it seems to be a better luxury car too since the interior quality appears to be similar and it has more tech (their automatic driving is only topped by Tesla's). If you want a pure luxury car, the S550 is a better option too (at this game it's only topped by a few car to be honest). If you want a better luxury car without feeling like you're driving a boat, the 750i is also better overall, since it seems more confortable and has more tech but on paper should drive about as good (similar weight, also has All wheel steering). If you just want an expensive daily, the Tesla Model S P100D is a better option overall as well, since it seems to be the best daily on the market rn. There is more to a car than the badge, the 0-60 and lateral acceleration. When you take into perspective everything that the models offer, depending on your checklist, there are indeed better cars.

I can't tell the difference in the exterior design much so i don't get why anyone would say there's innovation here. Interior is nice but that flat out digital style layout for the buttons in the center console like he said isn't user friendly when driving. There's no how it'll wont be distracting, but i'll admit it does look nice but it is nothing new. Several cars over the years have had touch sensitive like buttons or capacitive touch pads.

Mr. Alex douchebag spends almost two minutes of time in this video, to tell the people "not to forget how ugly the first generation of the Panamera was"... lol! This is so ridiculous! Instead of being a little bit "cooler" and trying to see the first generation of the Panamera as that what it was, a Porsche-unusually big car in the S-Class segment of the market, but certainly the fucking sportiest, he critizises and spreads his fucking hate against the first Panamera. Alex fucking little man is just a smallminded little fucker with no sense of coolness at all! No other car of its segment had such sporty talents like the first Porsche Panamera. And the "hunchback" blabla against this Porsche is just because of its need for passengers headroom in the rear of the car! This wasn't so easy to combine with the typical 911 design characteristics. The first Panamera was a cool looking big car, certainly much better looking than the fucking standard notchback cars from all the other car brands in this class! and for a better understanding: compare it with a completely useless Aston Martin Rapide. The rear seats in this car are a fucking joke, because completely without any sense! But it was sooooo fucking beautiful... yeah... of course! A Porsche Panamera is a perfect compromise of looking awesome and transporting four or five people without any lack of space in the most sporty way of such a car at this size! Alex fucking douchebag always makes the mistake, comparing this with the 911. But this here is a huge limousine with over 5 meters of lengh. For that it's simply fantastic how sporty this second generation of the Panamera handles and the first generation always was!

Agreed. Unfortunately it feels like the unibrow taillight design is being slapped on all the newer Porsche models indiscriminately by VW. It works well in some cases (like the new Panamera) but is a completely atrocity in others (the new Cayenne and A8).

Nevertheless, i think the Panamera is very, very expensive. Yes, i know its a porsche, and i know how well it drives but please keep in mind that this is a luxury car without most of this fancy driving assistance systems eg. HUD, Night vision etc. Other manufacturers do a better job in this concern with their luxury cars. In my opinion, most people who by luxury cars won't notice the extra performance capabilities of the Panamera. What they will notice is the price....but this is just my personal opinion. No doubt, the Panamera is a fascinating car!

Sure about the HUD? In germany i am pretty sure that this option is not avaiable. According to a local porsche dealer, the poeple at porsche decided against a HUD because the car should be/stay a driving focused car. Adaptive cruise control is available, you are right! And yes it is unique and it is a great car.

4.0 L twin turbo V8? Sounds awfully familiar. Audi-ish familiar. Then again, Bentley DID borrow that engine from Audi. Brilliant update, Porsche! FAR more good looking, even more powerful, fantastic handling but you totally naffed up with those haptic buttons on the interior controls! Pretty? Yes. But frankly outright dangerous whilst driving in any situation. What WERE you thinking? It's a classic example of a manufacturer being a complete show-off, to the point of masturbatory silliness! It detracts from driving, it ends up constantly smeared and is a terrible contradiction to the timeless Porsche commitment to pure driving excellence. You are seriously way off the mark here and need to get back on track pronto! IF I was in the market for a Porsche then this new look Panamera would have ticked all the boxes for me BUT..... Who would've thought, that u needed a sports response button to overtake in a car with with well over 500 horsepower, but then again that's only has half the power of a Bugatti veyron. so I guess it's barely adequate, The replacement looks just like the old one, with the lumps removed, it's no longer swollen, they just gave it some lypo, one the swelling for the plastic surgery of the unfortunate 911 that was made into a Panerma receded. " Off u go", "but I don't wanna", "you'll be the first, don't u wanna impress your friends ? " "What friends. HELL NO !", "Look Dr Porsche left nothing in the will, so do it to save the future, to give us a fighting chance, we need to pay the bills" "okay for the future & survival I will", "plus your lucky, your sister was eaten by a cave man". "What ?". I said your sister was made into a Cayman". "IC" " wait is Panamera male of female. ? Anesthetic please ! "no answer me, to late now it's already in you, guess we'll find out soon enough, won't we, "no you won't, I'm pulling the plug

I sold Porsche for two years and I have to say I was never a fan of the Panamara. This car though, is stunning. And the best part of this car is that, most cars over 100k drop like lead weights in resale value in a short period of time. But this car, because of the limited numbers, the value stays high. It handles better than the BMW and faster as well. Even the V6 will get you better times that many competitor V8s. As an added value, lease rates on this car are very good .....residuals are very good, thus payments and very low for the price of car. I highly recommend! It's one of those cars that when you stomp on the gas, you just can't, not smile! 😜

Touch tech is a pain in the arse, I don't believe it will ever provide as good a user interface as buttons and switches but it for sure does not yet. On the whole though I might live with the interior faffery just to get my hands on that wing, DAT WING.

We can't use phones because it's dangerous....so they fill cars with touchscreens and touch panels instead of buttons. How ridiculous. Whereas before, you could reach and adjust without looking. Now you have to look. Let's all take our eyes off the road, eh?

Man give me a break Look at your face then look at the panamera. And the same wing is one the 1st Gen. Are you blind. If you are forget what I said. But what the hell are you wearing. You try so hard to look good, unlike Porsche.

OH MY GOD. Car journalists. Jesus christ. 7 years ago when the Panamera came out they hated how it had many buttons in the center console. Now Porsche makes it easy to control everything from the infotainment screen and *completely removes buttons* and they still fucking complain. I like your work but c'mon.

I will never understand the gloss piano black interior that is ruined as soon as you touch one of the light-up buttons. Also, the fact that a lighter color interior is a secondary option in damn near every fucking car on the planet. I don't want to have to pay extra to get a lighter color interior, just so my skin doesn't boil when I get in the car in the middle of summer when it's >95°F outside.

The older Panamera Turbo S had those retracting spoilers before. I guess people didn't know about it much because it wasn't marketed or shown off as much as they did with this updated version.

That control system..... A classic case of adding technology for the sake of it, which actually ends up making things less intuitive to use (and a LOT more expensive to fix when it goes wrong). This "everything should be on a touch screen" concept is a fad I can't wait for manufacturers to move on from. Yes its fast, but so are most twin turbo V8 cars. I can't say its charming me in the slightest.

Yes it is easy to say that this car is perfect, but if you actually use it you will get furious with all the touch infotainment controls. This is a problem that a lot of car manufacturers don't understand, when driving touch controls are useless, annoying and distract you while driving. Fortunately there is a manufacturer (besides Lada) who clearly understand this.

I'm constantly hearing people praise endlessly about how good the new Panamera looks and how the first gen was as ugly as an STD. I don't find the new Panamera radically different to the old one. It still looks quite alright like the old one did.

Wow a Porsche that won't even hang with a Dodge Hellcat but costs three times as much. Oh and the wing will probably be as undependable as the wing on the 911 turbo.

Again with all this excitement over the rear wing. The old car had the same thing just a different shape. Every review I see on this car people are freaking out over the rear wing like it's some brand new design. Not sure why. 🤔

At 4:34 and few other moments through out the video, I noticed there is a back tail light brighter than the rest. Is it the trickery of the camera or is that how it is supposed to be? I've never seen a car do that in the US.

*im scared* I hear AN EVEN CEHAPER Porsche is rumored to be in design? Porsche is I guess Making money but really lost that exclusivity these days. I can literally see AT VERY MINIMUM, 5-10 cayennes or macans A DAY (and roughly 2-3 911s and a lot of boosters during summer all over the place) Maybe that's just my area but that's insane...I know Macan had insane sales and probably every time a cheap model comes out there will be insane sales but ... kinda wished porsche remained more exclusive. Just above Mercedes and BMW (which thankyfully it still is, but maybe not in the future if they keep releasing models this cheap), but not balls out top like ferraris and lambos. A perfect balance for those who worked for or for whatever reason have money, but not necessarily filthy rich.
