PORSCHE sound 991 GTS vs 991.2 with NEW turbo engine

Love the new engines. That turbo whistle sounds really good to me and doesn't stray away much from traditional sounds.

The 991.2 has a more raspier note, while the 991gts sounds more natural and higher frequency. I prefer the aural note of the naturally aspirated engine.

991.1 sounds pure mechanical and raw, like an true drivers car should.

Hmm I was expecting the NA 991.1 to sound lower and have more bass but surprisingly the 991.2 has more bass.

Different than I thought. I like the more mechanical sound and the engine revs more freely in the GTS. However Porsche had to go Turbo and in doing so have done a very good job with the 991.2 sound. But I also agree not nessisarily better just different. Well done and well compared. 👍

911 gts and regular mk1 is mutch better then 2015mk2 . twine turbo messup so sad 😢

Not really a fair comparison for the launch control part as for the 991.1 rev'd higher before shifting and the 991.2 shifted a lot sooner to second.

Not really. 991 GTS get's louder and louder the higher you push it. Same shifting with PDK on both phases.

I see. Maybe a new exhaust may help? The AWE exhausts sound great on the gts.

Bare in mind that the 991.2 has a lower redline as well
