Oslo Blue is beautiful! Porsche offers some great colors and the expensive ones are Paint to Sample (PTS) 🤑🚙

-I looked at many of the 2023 Werks because I couldn't attend that year. -Most of the videos I saw done by others here were rushed, one car to the next and often the guy filming would jabber when I just want to look at the car...and sometimes all I could hear was the wind blowing. - I like how you STOPPED many in front a car displaying the description cards so I could read details about that specific car. Some of these were deep and amazing. -A good mix of cars that you looked at and didn't spend much time on what I call, "Not Porsches" like the SUVs, etc Boring cars. -As they say, "Money can't buy you love" ... or winning at Werks; but it helps -I am EXCELLENT at creating new and interesting designs on paper, house design (ours), furniture cars and specific here for my 1986 911 Porsche Carrera RestoMod-Outlaw. And when I say outlaw I don't mean putting a fiberglass reproduction "duck tail" and PORSCHE script below my car doors. I have never seen any car exactly like mine. My idea, my ability to find that which is not made any more and have the shop create attachments and modification is a talent grown over years or loving details and design.I have average money, average connections. -BUT at Werks 2019 I entered the judging contest for the fun of just doing this. -I didn't expect to win 1, 2 or 3rd place. This is where lots of money can create a pristine stock classic car. In 2019 Dr. Wolfgang Porsche, the "Brand Ambassador" for Porsche Corporation, was also there. -He came from Germany to give some talks and other thing. -One of the other things was to choose what HE thought was the best car out of the 150+ (a couple from custom Porsche shops) cars being judged. -I didn't win the BEST car. -BUT my car (BK-MGIC) won the best DESIGN. -Since I am a design guy how could I possibly get anything better than a trophy from Porsche, and the from "MAN". -It wasn't money that got me the award, it was what I did to change the car. -And the big thing is...there were no special classes back then, I was in with all of the "classic" Porsches. My car is a RestoMod-Outlaw! What did the good Dr. choose my car, which wasn't a classic? My guess is all the things I took off and and all the things I added reinforced the essence of Porsche. -So money is not always the answer...that God!!! I've noticed something about the car owners while watching pebble beach concours & this event, they're literally all white males! I guess it's indicative of the monumental class divide in America, there's wealthy white families...than everyone else. Even watching Barrett jackson i notice the crowd is all white men. It makes sense if u consider that the majority of these car owners benefit from generations of inheritance and a massive headstart in life, whether that be a lone from Mum & Dad or stepping into the family business. This is why I feel conflicted about these events, to have a million dollar toy whole generations of black folks fight to stay above water doesn't sit right anymore. These events have become a bit tone deaf when poverty stricken families in rural Alabama have malnutrition kids. Vicious cycle. Cheers, sorry to be a downer as i love classic cars so much, but it has to be said.😊

Owning and showing one of these cars is cost prohibitive for 99.9% of the world’s population. This has to be your passion and as I say, the juice has to be worth the squeeze when owning a classic car. Classic cars break, they require a lot of maintenance, and huge potential expenses, so you have to pick your battles. Some people are into traveling, eating at Michelin Star restaurants, flashing jewelry, etc. It’s partly how you’re raised and then partly who you surround yourself with and your priorities. These vehicles are functional works of art and I’m glad that someone with the means maintains them and brings them to a public forum for us to enjoy. I attend all different types of events and appreciate many different styles of cars from lowriders to hot rods and also Concours shows.

-YES thank for bring it up to the surface. -I have Porsche that won the 2019 Werks Reunion Porsche Corporation trophy for the best DESIGN. -Dr. Wolfgang Porsche the "Brand Ambassador" for Porsche flee into Werks from Germany to give a few talks and choose the best over all car out of the 150 cars presented (several were from custom Porsche shops) and the best DESIGN. I won the best DESIGN trophy. I- did NOT come from rich parents. -My father was a barber and so was his father. My mother stayed at home and raised my and my brother. -I put myself through college by working and at one point lived with a family above the college. -I helped the mother making dinner each night and I ate with the family. -I worked 8 hrs on the weekend at their house to pay for my living in the house. -I went to school to be an airline pilot. Two years later I signed up to be a Union carpenter and got in their on their program of a 3 years of classes once a week at night as part of the program. -I don't waste money. -I saved money for the things that I wanted. I was also good at restoring cars and that was another way to make money and build it up fast. I have had 3 Porsches in my life. I bought them with my money. -The point here is that I am white but not blessed with connections or money. -I am NOT saying this to reduce your point only to show that not everyone who has a Porsche has LOTS of money.
