Glad to see it still has a flat 4 in it. I hate it when I see guys with 912’s that throw a flat 6 out of a 911 into them and then try to claim it’s still a 912. The flat 4 is what makes a 912 a 912. Whether it’s the earlier 1.6 or the later 912E 2.0 type 4 it’s not a 912 unless it has it’s flat 4. I’d rather see someone with a bored out 2.6 liter type 4 and over 200 horsepower than a flat 6 in a 912.

Thanks for posting this video. Sage advice from family members to keep car. love the patina. Curious, did you replace the horn grills with the screw version. I think the 1966 had the bronze 4 screw version. I’m having a Hecht of a time locating the correct grills for my 1966. Which incidentally has the same patina polo red. Quite similar almost a clone.
