Its okay chad would have been completely awake and aware of what was happening. hypnosis feels really nice and relaxing. your mind makes it real for you. Also I hope yo don't watch Tv or Movies, Read books, stories or comics, play video games, meditate, relax, drive a car for long periods of time etc because unfortunately all those things induce hypnotic trance naturally. Hey Ethan, if you ever want to participate in a hypnotherapy session ( like the one posted here) a Muppet on a string - whilst your brain being a complete slave to someone else, then go ahead. Personally, I do most of the mentioned above( reading, driving ect) with my own self control and not by someone else. While you call it a "naturally induce trance", which you're most probably right, I would prefer to call them concentration/ awareness to which I have control. Hypnotherapy sure has it's place in society mainly in the medical profession but not in a humored way out of the expense of someone who is in a complete state of oblivious, whilst being commanded to behave like clowns. No way I would have my precious brain being obeyed and compromised by a Snap of finger. :O

It isn't mind control -.- you are not a complete slave to anyone. that's how the movies and stage hypnotist like to play it up as it is far more entertaining to the crowed if they believe that. if you are asked to do something you don't want to do then you wont, simple as that. I am a hypnotist (for fun) I do so much hypnosis with my girlfriend that I can do snap inductions at home anytime I want. IF however I try that shit in public it will not even begin to work. why? because she dose not want to be hypnotised in public so SHE chooses not to. The hypnotist has no power, all he dose is direct the power of YOUR mind, Think of it as guided meditation with added suggestions. Have you ever been reading a book and got so caught up in it that you imagine yourself as the main character and feel their emotions? even though you know its not real? That's the same as hypnosis. now if the book character became a murderer and an asshole you might step back and "stop becoming the character" well that's what happens if you receive a suggestion that you don't want to do. A lot of irrational fear around hypnosis. :/
