I haven't been into the candy store since the boys got two big do care about candy. It was always an adventure, and usually very expensive.

The campground is nice if you need electricity to run the AC. For me, I would camp on the beach and either use the free showers or stay salty 😁

Hey Pat. I use those free showers on the beach every time I get out of the water at Port Aransas. The same at Rockport Beach. Especially around my eyes and facial area leaving all that salt on. It doesn't help in the heat.

Good evening/night! Shorty’s looks like it’s coming along nicely. Hammer is asleep and started randomly wagging his tail, must be because he hears his buddy Dennis. ❤ That park is like the state park on the island, great proximity to the water but nothing much else there. I love some shade trees, but I’ve said that at least 100 times. You and your dump stations and sewage treatment plants. 😂 Looks like it was a beautiful day, hope you had a good one today!

I'm so excited to find your channel! I love Port A and am always curious to see how all the reconstruction is going, and to check out the seaweed situation. I spent 2 years in CA working during covid and I couldn't wait to get back to some nice warm water. There is just something about this place. I freaking love it.

I didn't know it was called Sandollar Sity. It's probably in at least 20 of my videos and as far as I know it's still open for business. Next time I'm over there I'll get a good shot of it again.

I really enjoyed the beach drive this morning! Interesting...I have a long bucket list of restaurants to try there and visited quite a few of them on my last trip. The ones you mentioned are ones I also have not been to yet. It will be nice when you can go and do reviews of them. All I can think about now, is what you said about there being NO SHADE anywhere on Port A. On my way back after my last visit that was the first thing I began to really appreciate where I live in the Hill Country...TREES! lol. Even so no shade tree is a match for this continued heat. I continue to day dream about the next time I get to go back to Port A when it is cooler. BTW Miss K's Restaurant in Port A has FANTASTIC food! You should try it sometime. She also has takeout. Hello friend. I have done quite a few restaurants in Port Aransas. I just don't eat out much anymore. It's not in the budget. There are some great places though. Especially in the off-season when they are not packed. I hope you're staying cool today friend.

I was out too long today taking care of the wildlife and their water and food and the Sahara dust got to me. Had a monster migraine all day. I rarely get even a mild headache.
