It's nice but they need better road. I need to see some asphalt. When it rains you end up with mud all over.

Majestic Sound.......I am so glad you mentioned the bad roads which by the way is a turn off for me while I am watching these beautiful houses. Also why can they run the electrical wires underground, it seems like Haitians never do everything perfect. With all these obviously well off people living in these beautiful expensive homes one would expect them to want their streets well paved and what with the street vending lady with the basket on top of her head doing in this part of town at the end of the video.......Did you notice her? I was shocked to see her being allowed to go through the secured gates.

Thank you caraclement the hypocritical international media never publishes pictures like this. Makes me proud !
@gilgabe
@gilgabe 7 жыл бұрын
It is not up to the international media to publish the houses of the only 1% of the Haitian population who can afford to live in a modern and up market neighborhood in Port-au-Prince. Some of you are very limited in thinking, when at least 70% of Haiti looks like Belvil, I bet you the international media will show that new Haiti. 95% of Haiti does not look like Belvil, please let's not fool ourselves here!

Hello Guys, Thank you for posting this great video, like many other videos you've posted I have learned quite a lot about Haiti from you. Just a little observation; please guys try to use another camera because your latest films including this one have been to blurry due to the sun rays. There are cameras that can film better with the sun rays! Belleville is one neighborhood of Port-au-Prince I would like to live in but I am not so convinced when I see the electrical wires still running above the trees and most of the streets still have no street names. Yes it looks a bit like Miami but it has a way to go. First, they need to run the electrical wires under ground, have beautiful street lights and streets signs, most importantly, they need to pave the roads, some of the roads look unpaved. As sad & unequal as it seems, I love the idea of a gated community since now life in Haiti has become so dangerous even since Duvalier left Haiti and the evil Aristide & his Lavalas ignorant thugs had fucked up Haiti for good. I have been watching Haiti very closely from a far in the US and I have been quite impressed with the great job the Martelly-Lamothe's government has done so far to move Haiti into the 21st century.

MrG Thomas Thanks for your comments, but please try to refrain from using foul language. We try to keep it clean :) Regarding our camera, this was the first time we filmed early in the morning. We didn't realize it would cause an issue for viewing. Now that we know this, we will ensure that we only film after 10am, when the sun will be higher in the sky. Thanks!

Caraclement, you guys deserve the praise of every Haitian living abroad, particularly people like me who dream of Haiti every night. The way you describe the scenery places us right there with you. That says a lot about your generosity, your willingness to share; there is nothing dull about your videos. That's wonderful! Thank you! Good job!
