Been revisiting a lot of classic west coast IPAs lately. Really have grown to appreciate them for what they are: clean, refreshing, citrusy, and just plain delicious. The tendency is to compare them to the NE style. But what I've noticed that if you just appreciate them for what they are and what they do you have a much more enjoyable experience. IMO, neither one is better. They both have their place in craft beer. Right at the top! Great review!

We love Port Brewing out here! have you tryed High Tide? And I think they are part of Pizza Port, right?

Just finished one! Tasty and canned 246yds away! The Lost Abbey, Port Brewing and the 5 or so Pizza Port's are all basically under the same ownership... I really need some Hop-15!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just finished a can of High tide that was canned a block away...Lost Abbey-Port Brewing-The Pizza Port's are all the same basically. If you ever visited Stone before they moved to Escondido The Lost Abbey/Port Brewing is there with additional warehouse space for barrels across the parking lot. They can/bottle some of the Pizza Port's although Swami's claims to be canned at the Carlsbad Pizza port...cant imagine it but ok. Shark Bite Red I know is canned and bottled in San Marcos at the Lost Abbey/Port Brewing as well as Board Meeting Brown and Hop-15 as my neighbor dumpstered some still cold with bad labels, incomplete fills and with significant trub...but with a careful pour it was better than the ones I bought!!!!
