I picked up an oak aged (on cherry schnapps barrels) La Trappe Quad when I visited the brewery in Holland. It was one of the best beers I've had. De Dolle and De Struise brews are really nice too. I'll have to check out that site. Thanks

It's a great company, I got a bunch of great beers delivered to my door Christmas last year. The owner Kurt was a really nice guy, even threw in some freebies. I also absolutely loved the De Dolle Special Reserva 2013, it blew me away.

Man that's awesome!! I've ordered some beer from Belgium but it was a different service. Actually just looked it up, it's called TrappistWorld. The main thing was Westvleteren, I got the 8, 12, and the Blonde. The Blonde actually surprised me. I also bought Cantillon, Struise Black Albert. I'm really happy to share the Westy with people who can appreciate it. For people who know what it is it's amazing to see their reaction. I think Rochefort 10 can hang with it, however, it's an experience every time I've had it. I personally think Pannepot is the best quad I've ever had. I've had a lot of vintages and some barrel aged ones.

Chris have you been to the Belgian Beer Fest at Max's Taphouse? It always seems to be on President's Day weekend. Check it out if you haven't done it. We always try to go on Sunday...you do miss out on some of the beers that get kicked Friday and Saturday, but at least you can find a place to sit! ....and you still get to choose from the 150 or so that still remain.

3:22 Yeah you really managed to mange that one! :D Bunnahabhain (buna ha bain) is a distillery on the north shore of the Scottish island of Islay (i-lay) The whisky is moderately mild with many subtle notes, and quite different from salty iodine Caol Isla (coll e la) which is nearby. If you can find these, give them a try. Thanks for your show I love all the variety

I would love to open a package and see these beers. I'll definitely be watching to see some of these reviews. I'm glad you review a diverse variety of beer and beer related news that many do not. Keep up the good work. I'm getting tired of hearing about neipas that are harder for me to get than some of these Belgian beers an ocean away that are amazingly complex and delicious.

I've had that Gulden Drakk not that long ago. Its the only bottle I've been able to get here in San Diego. What are your favorite Belguin style American beers? Allegash, Ommegang, Lost Abbey, ect.

What a pity! I could've provide you with all these beauties and make a trade. It would probably have cost you less money. Anyway the best beer you have there is St. Bernardus oak aged, but the Gulden Draak is absolutely top notch! It completely blew my mind, and it's totally different from the base beer. Enjoy them!
