Yeah it is a good idea to stick a terminal in that area by terminal 5. I always wondered why there wasn't one in that area. It may be a tight squeeze but there are other ports out there very similar.

right, I did a rough measurement on google maps. the piers in nassau are a tighter fit than this new terminal and CT5

@CruisingIsLife yeah! Also look at the terminal in San Diego. There are some tight squeezes there. And of course, NYC where I made you dock the Icon.

@@CruisingIsLife I am not sure in real life if the Oasis class can fit in those piers. I think the largest they can fit are the Breakaway+. And Carnival XL class can go in there too.

This makes me really curious about the future for cruise terminal 5 because they mentioned that this project building a bulkhead on the northern side of that basin would lengthen CT5's berth by 150 feet and thus allow larger ships, but the terminal building, parking garage, and road access there don't seem adequate for anything larger than the Voyager and Prima ships currently using CT5. And I'd love to know which cruise line(s) are so desperate to have a new terminal open by mid 2026 because there aren't that many new cruise ships scheduled for delivery in mid 2026...

yep! seems like longer ships will be able to dock in 5 soon, its very limited right now due to its length. I dont think its the cruise lines, its more the port that is desperate to open it so soon. They won't make this a cruise line specific terminal so there won't be limitations on who uses it. seems like they've had to turn away business because of the terminal restrictions with cruise lines and their contracted terminals. Especially with Celebrity and Princess cruises adding ships to canaveral soon.

no Glory videos yet, most likely going Memorial Day to see her finally. New terminal name is unknown. CT4 was the name for the one where the current marina is. its possible they'll use 4 since its right next to terminal 5, or they may go with the unused 7 or 9.
