Great video Brandon! Looking forward to the next two beautiful Excel class ships, but also I'm anxious to see what Carnival comes out with for a bigger ship. I was reading an article on MSC about their plans to build a ship bigger than ICON if they can, and in that article it mentions that there are two cruise lines that have bigger ships than ICON in the planning stage! MSC being one and unknown, but I was thinking possibly Carnival on the other one. Of course I'm sure Royal Caribbean won't be in second for long if this happens. What are your thoughts Brandon?

This was an employee preview/shakedown cruise. There is 1 more sailing tomorrow for travel agents then the true maiden voyage will be Friday

I like that design too, very close to the originals oasis and allure but have the bigger solariums making them look much bigger

She's beautiful and so massive! Was she running on bunker fuel (Diesel fuel) when she came in? Looked like a touch of smoke coming from her stacks, and I do believe she can run on LNG or be switched to Diesel fuel. How does she compare to Wonder? I know there's a couple differences. She looks wide and massive.

@@stuartmassengale3955 that I’m not sure, I believe they had LNG for her in her stop in ponce. And yes all LNG ships have the ability to run Diesel if needed as well! Compared to wonder she looked and felt the same other than those bridge wing suites, very few visual differences other than that

my understanding utopia has less rooms to do the LNG tank. ( i think 40 rooms less) . also for the LNG side. they can only run LNG at speed. when the ship is coming into port they switch to bunker fuel do to lower rpms.

@@CruisingIsLife wouldn't it be awesome if they just absolutely throw something at us unexpected and it becomes more than we thought, a game changer of sorts! Which anything over 200k will definitely be a game changer for Carnival. I'm predicting a wide body design, possibly a split superstructure! They could just add some extra length to a Excel design and maybe a little extra width! Can't wait to learn more

You know it's amazing Brandon how small those ships look compared to ICON when passing by on departure out of Miami . Of course I know your up on the upper deck, but those are some big ships in their own regard, the Carnival Horizon and Royal Caribbean Independence are not small ships but the ICON looks like she dwarf's them in this video. The cars and trucks, and everything down on the highway look tiny from your perspective as well.

The Excel class ships are awesome! I have a couple of videos that I took of the jubilee in Galveston the last time I was there. I uploaded them to my KZbin channel. Massive ship. I would like to see how it completed to the ICON in person. The jubilee is very tall. Of course the ICON is very wide, and long looking like the Oasis sisters, and looks to be pretty tall as well. How would you summarize the comparison?

I love the Excel class, im hoping to get back on one. Looking forward to them putting some on the short Florida Itinerary to compete with Royal. Compared to Oasis/Icon the height is close if not similar, its width where the size difference really stands.

@@CruisingIsLifeI uploaded a video of the Jubilee and the Dream having a horn battle in Galveston. The Jubilee has an extremely loud horn. I was very close to it, and it almost shook the pier when she blasted her horn.
