Love the Wizard of Oz museum! Even though it was Plan “C” (sea or C for Canaveral 😂) y’all made the best of it! Love that it made you think of your Grandma. I made me think of my Granny as well, I first saw the Wizard of Oz at her house and was so confused by the black and white. lol I thought her TV was broken. 😂❤

This is too funny. Drove past this one day coming home from Cocoa Beach with my kids. My youngest daughter loves the Wizard of Oz so we stopped by after our last cruise on Mariner. Was cute.

Thanks for the info on another viable excursion option from Port Canaveral. My next visit is only in Oct 2025, so I am hoping they're still in Port Canaveral by then. I live in Orlando and have been wanting to go check the museum out. One day soon I plan to. I have never heard of cruises making Port Canaveral a daytime stop before. I thought it was only a port used embarkation and debarkation.

Caribbean/Bahamas sailings from NY, NJ, and Baltimore will often have Port Canaveral as one of their itinerary stops. I've been to Port Canaveral on six of my seven cruises so far, especially when I embarked in NJ, NY and Baltimore. We usually spend the day at Cocoa Beach, Ron Jon's, Kennedy Space Center, etc. We make the most of it, happy to be in Florida when we live in upstate NY. :)

We will be on symphony next October. Would you recommend going to Jetty Park? Is it walkable from where cruise docks?

Hi! It really depends on which terminal your ship docks at (it can change based on the day). But for example, on this day Symphony was docked at Terminal 6 and I don't think you would want to walk from there to Jetty Park. But we love Jetty Park!
