PORT ISAAC CORNWALL | Tour of the seaside holiday fishing village of Port Isaac, also known as Port Wenn in the Doc Martin TV show that was filmed here, and famous for it's Fisherman's Friends movie filming locations (and the real Fisherman's Friends actually live and sing here!)

Port Isaac is another awesome village town in Cornwall that i enjoy seeing and i used to watch Doc Martin every weeknight on PBS here in Oklahoma right after Last of the Summer Wine and i like the seaside community here with it's local shops, pubs and eateries as well as the thin streets of Isaac this was another awesome place to do a walk around in and it is very beautiful here thanks again and until next time Thank You very much.🇬🇧🤠🇬🇧

We visited in March of 2024. My hubby and I always watched Doc Martin. We had a game, Tides In , Tides out. Before he died, he told me I had to visit Port Issac. I was to take a stone from his favorite boatramp . Put his initials, dob and dod. I took it to Port Issac and throw it as far as possible in that beautiful water. He would be proud. Then I drank a glass of wine as the tide rolled out.

I'm watching from Poland and yes, I'm a big fan of the Doc Martin series. One day I hope to be able to go to Cornwall and see the place and other villages and cities there. Which cottage would I chose to stay in? No idea, they all look amazing! Probably one with a view over the bay.

Some friends and I stayed for a week in Port Isaac the year before they started filming Doc Martin. My husband and I have visited a few times since then and we once stayed in The Old School House hotel. It's a beautiful place. The walk from the car park is a killer though!

In this place another movie was filmed: "Saving Grace" with Craig Ferguson, Brenda Blethyn and Martin Clunes. Actually, the character Doc Martin appeared for the first time in this movie. But, at that moment, Doc Martin was a nice guy and not grumpy like in the TV show. But it's a fantastic place to visit. Just a question: You said that this was filmed at the beginning of Spring so, I assume it's end of March beginning of April. Let's say that I follow your advice and I go at that time. All the shops and restaurants in this video were CLOSED !! What's the meaning to go there if I can't get a simple coffee while watching the ocean ?? Thanks

Greed has taken over , the oldest building in the village is Nathan Outlaw restaurant, I had a lease on a pub in Somerset and wanted out, a guy turned up to view and said that he had to get out of that building in Port Isaac as the landlord wanted to leased to the famous chef and if this guy wanted to remain instead his lease renewal was going to be £20 k a year from what is was paying, it reminds me of London, they have chucked the little people out to make way for the elite only. The building you see at 4.30 is a cafe, the lease has been for sale for over a year , it’s quite small inside and no living accommodation, the rent , if my memory serves me right is a staggering £36.000 per year, talk about GREED.
