There were a few trees here and there but you could definitely see the river pretty well!

We called Disney to book the room and you can go through with them what possible discounts you have such as Disney Visa, Annual Pass, etc and take the best option! Sometimes Annual Pass or some other discount will be better. Hope this helps!

We are having a hard time choosing between this resort and Caribbean Beach Resort for our stay next November. We are a family of 5 and need the 5th sleeper. Which do you think will be better for a family of 5?

Haha! Yes this is a tough question! Now that the resort improvements are complete at Caribbean Beach and with the addition of the Skyliner access - that resort has become a serious contender! It’s also a large resort and very similar to Port Orleans Riverside with a large fun pool and 5 “quiet” pools. The skyliner access is amazing giving you easy access to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Boardwalk, and various hotels. We personally prefer Port Orleans because we have nostalgia for it having stayed there for many years - however both resorts are comparable. Again, major benefits of Port Orleans will be boat access to Disney Springs, Yeehaw Bob, resort privelges at French Quarter (additional restaurants and another large fun pool), and the atmosphere - southern charm. So bottom line is you can’t make a bad choice here. Both hotels are excellent in the moderate category. Not sure we helped but hopefully that gives you a bit of piece of mind over your choice!
