Awesome brother so after taking ur advise on chasing snapper in the shallows i went out yesterday arvo cruised around the shallows n sounded up some massive arches but no matter wat i did no joy they were hanging in 6 to 7 metres of water.

it will be very hard now, till early September .. best bet I feel is shallow reef's chasing pinkies work though them there be a better fish in there somewhere. plenty of squid & whiting around too

This would be rosebud area I believe or maybe a bit further south. I think rosebud holds whiting in winter. Same as Westernport from Cowes to cat Bay.

fk oath whiting fishing is the best winteries are fun as to catch good eating too its not all about the trophy fish
