Have you seen the emergency slings you can get too? You put em on airplane seat so anyone can assist in emergencies rather than just being left.

I've never seen anything like this and I want one!! I had the grand idea of utilizing a mechanics stool to enable me to put my fully assembled chair in the back of my suburban and then shimmy shake my way to the drivers door. Uhhh... No. lol While this isn't an end all solution for me, it sure would be easier to use than the stool.

When I end up eventually flying, I'll be peeing right from my seat. If they wanna land early and kick me off the plane, whatever. I'll obviously make valiant effort to cover up but I'm sure they still won't like it.

The guy that built that does awesome work. Only issue I see is it’s very low. So when someone is wheeling you down the isle you have to get your butt up higher than what your wheelchair is because most airplane seats don’t have armrests that’s lift up. It would be very tough to go from such a low seated position to up and over the armrest of the airplane seat to then be seated on the plane. That is if your not the Incredible Hulk.

I admire the clever mechanical design of that folding chair. The wheels with the side rollers are a brilliant solution for maintaining compact, light weight mobility. The folded chair appears too large to fit under the seat, I assume it fits inside the overhead bin?

I do not often use airplanes and I can be wrong. This device does not have a safety certificate and is potentially dangerous within the aircraft. How loyal are the airlines to this device? In my country, airlines do not allow their wheelchairs to be used for movement and boarding within the aircraft.
@rackemwells4 жыл бұрын
My book bag doesn't have a safety certificate, I'm allowed to take that on a plane. In the states, airlines will VERY likely not say a word to you, it would cause quite the uproar with substantial negative impact and news stories.

It's too short. Not a level transfer from that to an airline seat. I'm not sure what airlines you fly but airplane restrooms aren't equipped or roomy enough for someone in a wheelchair even with that gadget. Unstable and a waste of money. Just another useless product being put out there for people in wheelchairs to waste their money on.
