This is such a time saver. Great way to move firewood around! I plan on doing firewood palettes as well. Need to build a set of forks for my Kubota excavator. Keep up the good work!

Gr8 video. Solid information. I'll now be able to enjoy wood heat for another 15 years. Fabricated ssqa system for my tractor loader.I'll place the skid right outside the door in the winter. Thanks

I don't know if you could answer this question but would a ford 8n be able to lift one of those firewood racks? Great video!! Awesome idea also.

How much would one of these racks weigh when full of wood?

just a thought to help you out. How about making tilt for your folks. can you put a hydraulic cylinder on the top point? then plug the hoses into your auxiliary ports on your tractor?

Yep, i've done it on my tractor :)

Nice, I imagine to do the same thing to store and move my fire wood.. I have a Massey Ferguson 145 and i would like to know if your tractor can move a pallet without front load? Sorry for my poor english. Thanks

you ever think of building a ramp or grading so you can back the tractor to the porch?
@joradcliffe5658 жыл бұрын
That's what i thought, perhaps with a decorative enclosure to hide the racks inside.

Thanks--great video and ideas. How long are your logs? Maybe 16"? Would same design handle 18"?

Build up the ground leading to your porch or put down stacked 12 inch boards tapered on one end to make a ramp for your tractor to get up high enough to sit the racks on the step.

Build a ramp at you house at a certain drop spot, and don’t handle the wood so much.....🧐🧐think outside the box...MacGyver style thinking 🤔 . Make it easy

probably a rick or rick and a half only problem is after a while the pallet will rot and picking them up with 2-3 thousand pounds it wont work :O

When 1/3 of a cord starts weighing 2,000-3,000 pounds, please notify the press....

1 rick or half a cord of green red oak you are looking at 2 thousand pound easy
@samuelluria47448 жыл бұрын
dylan caldwell firstly, I totally agree with you, that it won't hold up very long - neither pallets or frame. But just saying, that what he has there is not a half-cord, but a third of a cord. Also, subtract 25% of total volume for airspace. Also, its not green wood - subtract another 10% minimum.
