Although an expensive set up (because of the case) I think you have put together one of the most efficient and functional minimalist cooks kits out there for a Truck/Van Camper. Very well done. Ive been going thru a bunch of them looking for ideas. The organizer lid makes this kit really stand out for ease of access to a lot of common items. Very well done!

I got a bag of air absorbers that are 500cc and so far... Good! Laster year I had a loaf of bread kept in a bread box, which I wasn't used to doing. I somehow forgot about it and the whole loaf was coated in mold. So I got a container that holds the amount of slices and put in an air absorber... That bread stayed good for a long time. So now, I'm gonna do that with bread whenever I have some.

I was just browsing.. but the rain issues made me laugh... I don't like camping..( I know.. lolol.. why am I watching? "Just curious") But my point is that real campers do cook in any weather and sleep in almost any condition. My brother in law last week slept in back of his old SUV with his grandson while the rest of us including his daughter and granddaughter stayed in resort condo with my family... They just love it even though it rained every day and night. I think he'd love all of this stuff.

I made one for my pop up camper that is actually a 3 drawer tool box. I use the bottom for plates, utensils, and pans. The middle drawer is small stuff silverware, prepackaged coffee and teas, spice jar, and condiments. The top has all prepackaged and canned foods that can be made a camp very quickly and easily.

In the Summer I tried these sachet of Nescafé Sweet & Creamy French Vanilla packets. Tasty!!! And convenient. They are great for bushcraft/camping as I don't really have to add sugar or whitening product to enjoy it. Just heat up the water, dump it in and stir. Simple! And I love simple!

You know what I'd like to have in a case?! A functional sink. I thought about this years ago. It would be a sink with a water tank & pump and a waste tank, all in a case, for travel or at home. Pull out the tap and have running water (from tank inside case) and it goes through drain, like home sink, into a waste tank that can be removed and emptied. I don't know if anyone has made such a thing, but I'd sure love it!

A little tip on those trying to keep everything small And cheap And long lasting. I don't know about the states But many of the Dollar Store chain in Canada sell the Betty Crocker 6" Cast iron pan that sells for $4 A fair size if you are using a 1 burner for a few eggs...And the tip on a iron skillet as i done with mind And if you have it is a orbital sander..Sand the Iron with 180grit, Then 320, And 400 to finsh.. wash add in your oil to burn ...And you will have a pan that is very hard to have something stick..a quick rinse and cloth everytime since i done it

@@rainbowbgood Sorry i never got back to you I just seen the message 10 months later? lol Anyways There is a fine line from Low price And quality And a lighter weight Steel is lighter weight however i have not seen any in 6" and cheap You could try Sail camping hunting and fishing goods they tend to have low to high cost goods

Greetings from Alaska!!! Your video was the deciding factor for a compact kitchen idea. Love the humor, the hand wiggles and of course... "Well I'll just cook in the rraaaiiinnn!" I just ordered the 1510 with organizer and through a company I found, lime green handles and latches to customize it. Durability and size is very important. Need it to hold what I have without wasting space, and the size is perfect for a JLU Wrangler. Love how you showed what you use, how you store it and most important, you make it interesting! Great video! *hand movements as I click send*

Good kit! I put my kitchen in a soft nylon gym bag with lots of pockets. It works great. I changed to Corelle plates & bowls. We bring real ground coffee & use the ‘Clever Coffee Dripper’ with paper filter. It works just like a Melita, but will hold the coffee for more steeping time until set on your mug.

I live in the UK where it rains 12 months of the year, but never felt the need to cook in the rain....I mean, yes I have cooked or brewed up while it's raining, but always found a way of getting some shelter...Now here's the spooky coincidence...I have an American Cocker Spaniel and he took likes standing about in the rain and needs to be brought in before he drowns sometimes... Still, I love the use of the pelican case...complete overkill, but very classy indeed!

I keep things more simple for food... I have food that I can just cook in the one single camp pot/pan I have. I the Primus LiTech Trek Kettle... I don't get the word "kettle" in the name, but, whatever. It's a 1L pot with a top that is also a pan that can fit an egg in there. Both pieces have fold out handles. It also came with a pouch to store them in and keep the pan/top together with the pot. I have used it alot. Yeah, not only outdoor cooking, but indoor too, as most of the time I cook on my butane camp stove or mini burner (w/ isobutane canister). Just open window a bit and bedroom door to have the fumes go out. The butane for camp stove is cheaper than power from kitchen appliance stove/oven. And the camp stove & mini burner are portable. You won't see me carry the stove/oven from the kitchen around... LOL 🤣

Hello from Tacoma! Heh, yeah while it doesn't rain as much as the jokes, it does rain allot since its.. a rainforest. But since it does rain alot if you want to do anything you just gotta go do it. Some of my best memories is chilling under a tarp listening to the rain with a cup of tea waiting for the rain to clear enough to go for a walk.

Speaking of wipes... I have them coin wipes. They're wipes compacted into coin shape... You add a tiny bit of water and it expands, then you unroll/unfold it the rest of the way. They are fairly big sheets too. I prefer to have these wipes not scented or with alcohol/soap in them and just have whatever soaps/alcohol separate to add myself to choose for the occasion.

I have a Coleman mini burner for the isobutane canisters. I got it at Walmart. I wanted to get a better one, but at the time with availability and price and rushing to have one, I went with this one. It works good, but doesn't have the built-in sparker, so I just a lighter or ferrocerium rod. I have used it alot and it's still good.
@dmu97363 жыл бұрын
Great idea and thank you for sharing. Practical containers that are compact are the biggest obstacle when packing a portable kitchen. A good meal is essential for morale in any situation. It can make or break your trip IMO. It is easy to gather stuff for a great camping kitchen but you can easily end up with three to four medium-sized totes in no time! Love the itty bitty waterproof bottles and all the ways you made use of them. Have subscribed and will be checking out all your vids. Your humor is essential for viewing these types of vids. I honestly cannot sit through one where the person is just droning on and on. Kudos for good editing.
