Please excuse me if I say dryer when I mean spinner. Also I didn't mean to pour the water down the street sewer so that's no longer an issue for all of the people freaking out about it.

I live in an apartment. There are washers and dryers. It gets very expensive. People do strange things, like taking my laundry out to wash theirs on my quarters. Or - dying haloween costumes, so the next person has multi colored clothes. Getting my own washer was the best purchase I have made in a long time.

That's why I selected an apartment with a washer and dryer in a closet off the hallway. It was great closing all the blinds and actually washing all my clothes. I can see these portable units useful for smaller loads and to minimize wear and tear on your clothes. However, you do need to have sufficient storage space for these units as well as a way to hang dry the clothes as the clothes are only spin dried.

Mine just went out on spinning side and i can't recommend enough to check the wires coming from the motors and tape em out of harms way like the motor shaft they will get grinded down and cause electrical problems and do not leave it in moist places like your restroom. Other than that my zeny lasted me 2 years and 5months without problems and grease up the shaft it will spin and throw grease everywhere over time leaving the shaft dry.

I have the same model. Got it 5 months ago, because I moved into a place with no washer and dryer and couldn't face going to a laundromat. Love it! I also fill it by hand, which is a pain, since you have to fill it twice, but it won't hook up to either my kitchen or bathroom faucet. Still, it beats going to the laundromat! Tip for those new to them: add very little detergent. The washing tank is small, which means the soapy water will be very soapy and harder to rinse out. I also add white vinegar to the rinse to help remove any leftover soap.

@@LetYrLiteShine I'm doing a load now and still put in too much detergent! A tip for you on lint and washing your cleaning clothes: don't wash your microfiber clothes with terry or any other lint-shedding fabrics. I just did that and now my lint-free microfibers are full of lint. Another tip about lint. Get those floating lint catchers from Amazon. They're cheap. You'll need at least 2. (Make sure you order the ones that Amazon fulfills. Lots of people have said others ship from China and you have to wait 8 weeks for your order to arrive.) You drop them into the wash tank after your laundry and water is in. They float on top of the water and catch a lot of the lint.

I just watched another KZbinr wash some clothing in hers, but she never ran them in the spin cycle before rinsing them...she just drained the wash water out and filled it with clean water and then rinsed that way and then put them into the spin side...it did amazingly well too, spinning the water out...she went from a 2.4lb t-shirt to one that she couldn't even get a weight on, when it was done spinning...amazing to me. It convinced me to get one to use in my RV for sure.😊👗👘

I used to do the family washing in a twin tub and I used the spinner in between. But it causes so many creases that are hard to iron or steam out. If I had to do that over, I would just drain the soapy water, and rinse in fresh water to keep the creasing to a minimum.

I also have a full sized washer and dryer but still have use for this. I have limited mobility, even tho im not considered disabled yet as i work full time. So the 2 huge steps down to our laundry room are impossible for me. I like to be very independent, so i feel bad asking my husband to do my laundry as we have always done our own, our entire marriage. He is more than willing, but I wanted another option. Our bathroom in our master has a huge counter top next to the sink, so i put one of these right on the counter. Im 5’9” so I havent had any issues using it that high. So ur absolutely right, i have a 4 bedroom house with a designated laundry room but the convenience of having one of these in my bathroom has been life changing for someone in my situation. ♥️

I've been researching these for a week now. All different models, sizes and prices. There are some models that have lint catchers built in them, I will get one of those. My apartment is tiny and I barely have room for it in my bathroom but I will gladly get rid of my shelves to put a little washer/spinner in there. You can buy a sink adapter either online or at any hardware store to hook it up to any type of sink. Even though my apartment has a very nice laundry room with big ,clean machines, it's too expensive and you still have to share and schedule your laundry day around others. But the deciding factor for me is my poor back. I have a herniated disc in my lower back and every time I have to haul the laundry up and down the stairs my back goes out for a week and I''m in agonizing pain. I will still have to use the laundry for my queen size comforters but they are fluffy and weigh very little so my back will be able to handle that. Also doing a few pieces of clothing and towels every few days will prevent the dirty stuff from piling up and drying them on hangers will take no time at all. I can't wait. Thanks for sharing your experience.

These machines are a reboot from the washer spin dryers from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. There were magtag, Hoover spinmatics, Hotpoint washer spin dryers. I had the Hoover spinmatic. They are Manuel washing machines. A conventional washer has cycles, wash, spin, rinse, spin. You do the same thing with this only manually. They are great for apartments, camping, and dorms. The newer ones are made of much cheaper plastic etc. But from the looks of them they do a good, and no laundromat.

Here's a tip. See that small hole to the right of the extractor (spinner)? Use a water cup that has a lip on it and pour water in there the first minute of spinning to rinse off any suds still on the clothes. On mine, the water does not have to go bullseye in the opening. Seems to drain all around the opening. You can hear the sound of spraying water while it spins.

Turns out, you can actually use the spinner without putting it on drain. Ive had the washer side filled with water and it was agitating while the other side was spinning, and while it was a little water came out of the hose. The drain switch is only for the washer side, at least on this washer. Ive even taken the back panel off to verify the drain switch only works for the washer side, spinner side is always open. Mine is the exact same thing but on the inside mine has a overflow spot and it overflows into the spinner side.

I had always used a regular washer and dryer. Then my husband got a new job and when we were moving, we couldn't find an apartment we could afford that had w/d hookup that was ready to move in. So we moved into what was available and used the local laundromat. I was easily spending $20 or more per week on laundry for my family. I realized that one of these machines would literally pay for itself within a few weeks worth of trips to the laundromat. I got the biggest one I could find at the time, which was a 20 pound. Not just the money saved by not having to go to the laundromat, but how convenient it is to be able to do laundry whenever I need to. Especially handy if you have kids. I can't tell you how many times I've done a load of laundry at 2 am. I also noticed that the machine barely uses any electricity, since we didn't see any kind of difference in our electric bills. I've had it for years and love it to pieces. One tip people might find handy, I use a 30 ml medicine cup to measure detergent. For a full load I fill it to the 30 ml (2 Tablespoon) mark. If I'm doing a small load, I only fill the medicine cup halfway (1 Tablespoon).

Can you wash a load then put half to dry then start another load as the spinner is spinning? So both washer and spinner working at the same time or only one at a time??

Everybody rinses differently, I wash one load twice it it's high soil, then I fill it a third time with no soap run it with only water, like a real washing machine. Then, I put them in the spinner and move the inlet hose to the dryer side, and turn it on for the first few seconds of the spin, soap will still come out while doing this, when the water stops leaching soap, I turn off the water and spin for another minute or two. Don't understand why people will spin and then put them back in the washer, when you can do it the way I said, lol.

This seems smarter than repeating the wash and spin, except for the part about the detergent coming out during the spin. I think detergent would be left in clothing. The residue would then attract dirt.

I have found just rinsing twice after washing works well for me. I don’t use the spinner at all until I ‘m finished rinsing. Not even between rinses. I just use the spinner once, at the very end, to dry the load a bit before hanging them.

@@spencerwilton5831 I have been using a portable washer for 5 years now. I'm very well aware that one side washes and one side spins and is not a dryer. But when someone keeps referring to the spinner as a dryer, I have to wonder if something new has been added how in heck it was!

Omg , I really have no ask does anyone know how to do laundry ?i it's a portable washing machine use it as a portable washing machine . First of all I would try using it as a normal washing machine ok - first step a Normal wash is 15 minutes then a spin then a rinse then a spin then a rinse with fabric softener then a spin hang to dry why the confusion ?

This is such a wonderful video. My only comment is please don't drain in gutters because cats, dogs, birds and even children drink out of the gutter. Landry detergent is extremely toxic!!!! Please drain it where it will not harm any living beings! Have had pets die a miserable death over drinking out of the gutter! THANK YOU!

I have one like yours, works great but I put mine in the tub at home and shower in my RV to get water and for draining. Be careful draining down the driveway, some locations will fine you. It's a washer/spinner not a dryer and it's worth the purchase. Cost me the same, different brand and color. Agree with having my own and not using laundry mats other use, they too share germs and diseases.
