I got one and it worked wonderful for a month, then stopped draining. I took it apart and found it had sucked a tiny sock into the drain, thankfully it didn’t hit the water pump and burn that out, took the water pump apart and wiggled the hose to get the sock out, the reassembled and it worked like new again. I’d recommend using a laundry bag for tiny items, especially children’s socks & underwear.

I was thinking about getting one of these ,but i found a better portable washer /dryer . The brand is Haier .The washing machine and dryer are about half the size of a average size washer and dryer .So you can fit a lot more clothes .the washer drains the water like a normal washing machine and the dryer is actually a dryer not a spinner ,so it does dry your clothes like a normal dryer . You can watch a youtube video on the Haier Compact washer and dryer .

There are water level markings (L, M, H) near the filter. You may need a flashlight to see it. Anyway, great explanation. Would you please make another video using this machine? How is it holding up? 17.6 lbs. includes what the spin tub holds (11 lbs in the washtub + 6.6 lbs. in the spin tub). Just an update here. What the manufacturer does NOT tell us is that the weight capacity is for "wet" clothes. Therefore, if you cut the weight in half, it will be very close to their weight suggestion.

Thank you Rose for the clear explanation. Just did my first couple of loads and clothes came out clean. However, the towels came out very hard after hang drying, like sandpaper. Anyone can respond and thank you in advance for your tips. I'm just a guy learning how to use my new Kuppet portable..

Hi Jim, Yes, you can use fabric softener. After you do your wash cycle. I drain out the dirty water and fill it with clean water and run it again to rinse. During this cycle I put fabric softener in. I have an old Hoover twin tub (recently died on me!) unit and I always would spin the soapy water out first so I didn't have to use so much water for rinsing. It's not an automatic system. You do a lot of transferring from tub to spinner, draining, hanging up clothes to dry etc. Still well worth it IMO. So much better than going to laundromats. Just put in an order at BestBuy.ca for this same model. Will take a bit of getting used to gravity drain as the Hoover had a pump. Will give it a shot.

Am allergic to any type of chemical laden perfumed fabric softener. Instead, I use white vinegar. No allergy problems. Acts as a disinfectant also. Like all wash machines, will help keep the drains and pipes of gunk and clog buildup. White vinegar costs much less than fabric softener and does the exact same job of opening up aka softening up the fabric in clothes to wash and rinse better. Use this in a spray bottle to spray on clothes when they are drying and like a machine tumbler dryer, the opened threads aka softened on the fabric allows for a bit more of a faster dry.
