I lived in apartment in CA with NO laundry hook ups, with a baby, and coin operated laundry...I ended up find out about the portable washers and it was a game-changer. I also used the drying rack and it was AWESOME. Put the kid down for a nap, do a small load, put them clothes on the drying rack...dry in a few hours. Brilliant. Through the years as a military person, I have lived in various housing that had no hook-ups and that portable washer moved with me like a faithful companion. I, too, found it at a Goodwill close to base. I now live in a house and the kid is grown, but if my washer ever went out and I did not have the funds to fix or replace it, I would grab a portable one of these again in a heartbeat. Thanks for helping spread some good feels to those who may benefit from it. Peace & cheers.
@kaitlyne18705 жыл бұрын
The added benefit of using that drying rack, instead of a dryer, it that hanging clothes out to dry is better for the fabric and elastic and your clothes, blankets, and bed sheets last longer. Not to mention you save on electricity. When I buy a house, I'm puting up a clothes line and only using the dryer for emergencies!

These people in third world countries think it's funny to ask those questions and Raz you but what they don't understand is what it's like to try and find an apartment affordable and live in LA with washer and dryer hookup let alone the washer and dryer in the apartment. And I can only speak for myself I do not have this portable washer and dryer but I enjoy your videos and I have taken cues from your other videos and applied them to my situation and my house and they are great ideas that really work and you can tweak them a little bit to work for you. I bought one of these based on all the reviews on KZbin. I got it from Google Express for about 80 bucks, and that includes shipping. My regular washer died and I couldn't afford to replace it. @@christinasalazar6962, my biggest blanket is 99 inches by 60 inches, it fits to wash, but it is too big to spin. Most of my blankets are throws, 50 inches by 60 inches. My laundry didn't dry because of all the extra crap (theirs did because of the material it was made of) and I had to pay TWICE to dry my clothes so they could get theirs done for free! Pet Baby Crochet I absolutely HATED when people would leave their clothes in the washer or in the dryer and I’d come back downstairs with all my stuff almost every hour hoping they took their stuff so I could use a machine. NOPE. Not even when I check the next morning. So annoying. Then at a family members house they never cleaned their front load washer properly and all my clothes would smell moldy. There was no winning in that situation. Now the apartment I live in the landlord said there’s a hookup but won’t let us buy a washer and dryer because water is expensive (we don’t pay water at this current apartment). I fully convinced my husband to order a portable washer and it’s coming in a few days 🙏🏽 I can’t wait. I’m tired of hand washing clothes

I don't get how someone could leave negative comments about a portable washing machine. If you used to use one in your country or you have a full size washer and dryer, kudos to you. Keep it moving and don't leave negative comments for a complete stranger. What is wrong with people?? Anyway, this review was super helpful to me. My building has coin-op laundry but half the machines are broken so I decided to get a portable washer after coming across this review. So far so good, the only thing is that the machine started draining as I was filling up and I still haven't figured out why. But honestly, this already beats shlepping my clothes to the building laundry room. Thank you!

Thanks for the 1 year review. Often times someone uses something, shows it but then you never find out how durable it is. An idea (which I do) is have a tension shower curtain rod in the shower above the unit (close to ceiling) to hang your cloths on hangers... I then have a fan in the bathroom that I run and it doesn't take too long for the cloths to dry...

Now that I’ve been making more money, I tried to stay using my Della but then corona virus happened and I was terrified to take my queen size comforter to the laundry Mat, which I had been doing since the Della isn’t large enough. Now that I’m back to the front load washer I do feel the Della was a lot of work. Lol. But defiantly worth the money and beats the laundry mat. However, I haven’t bought a dryer because air drying my clothes has allowed them to last much longer. It’s amazing how damaging the heat from the dryer is, even to quality, expensive clothing.

Many years ago I bought a portable washer, I think it was a Sanyo. In was cheap and plastic and I remember thinking if I got a year out of it that would be great. I loved it and used it in my apartment for two years and when I bought a house gave it to my mom. She used it as her only washing machine for the next 22 years. Not only did it last 24 years but during that time it didn’t need a single repair.

I would run the cord up the back and along the ceiling and down to the plug. You can twist some eye hooks into the wall or command hooks and they would hold the cord in place that way it’s out of the way and off of the floor.

I just randomly thought about when my mom talked about these like over ten years ago. Just bought a different brand but I love it! Makes laundry so much easier. Luckily for me the water is well water though.

I just purchased a portable washer and spinner and I love it! For lint, I add a dryer sheet to my wash and it seems to work. Before using dryer sheets, I used Beactive disinfecting wipe which also worked for me.

I love mine! I purchased it for a place we seldom go but I didn’t want or need a full size washer and dryer...I use it like camping sort of....I like to spin after washing and spray to wet the clothes to about as wet as there were coming out the washer and spin them a few times before rinsing in a full tub again....this allows me to rinse several pieces then turning it into wash water for more :) it surprises me every time how much I get done with it!

Although we have two fully automatic washing machines in our laundry room, family members are always using it so I put the semiautomatic in my large bathroom and they are very good as first you can control the amount of water used for each wash, they have a gentle and heavy wash cycle and very reliable. I have had mine for several years and service for this machine is always available if needed but it’s been good. I don’t pour water in the spinner but empty wash water and refill to rinse. Two pieces of advice to give, don’t splash water on the knobs, and just switch off from wall when you transfer clothes to Spinner just to be safe really like with any machine- certainly worth buying! I love mine ! Oh , just wanted to add, lint comes mainly from socks and towels- wash socks and towels separately and see the difference!

This brings back memories. Back in 1992 I was a first time mom and my baby daughter and I lived in an apartment alone. I hated having to wash at the laundry room. I was blessed with one of these but of course it was the 90s it looked a little different . I loved my little washer.

These are very easy to repair...another benefit... I had a Maytag in the 80s and washed foe ten years 3 kids and 2 adults with no problem...had a little 110 dryer too...for a small home it was great...even washed my blankets...had a large spinner to spin them...

Hi thank you so much for sharing your review. I bought one too about a year ago. Quick question, how do you wash inside the spin cycle? Where the water drains.

I ordered one, I’m just waiting for it to be delivered. I had one years ago. I had the hoover spinmatic. They were built to last, but these machines are perfect.

We've had one for over a year. We have saved a lot of money and we wash like 85% of our clothes in that portable washer. It does the job.

U can find the Japanese products she mentioned in the video at Daiso. It's a Japanese dollar store. ($1.50 actually) They have several stores in Southern CA. Thr's one in Little Tokyo Mall (DTLA), Monterey Park, Torrance, Carson, etc..

I didnt know these existed until I saw your first video. Snagged one for myself and its been great..no more laundry mats. I built a rolling pedestal for mine and drain it into the shower(I just have a standing shower no tub) so I could just roll it into position and drain it into the shower. Its so much better because the laundry mat machiens would always bleach some of my clothes(because of excess bleach being left over from the previous wash) or snagg them and rip them..and the Dryer wasnt really good for my clothes either..so hang drying has helped to keep them in better shape..especially the undergarments. Its all thanks to your original video too.

You go gurlllllll!!! I'm ordering another model next week. I have been living in my apt 17yrs and my back is wretched with hauling heavy loads to laundry mat. Soooo it's time I have the $$ so we'll see how it goes. I'm EXCITED!!!

I absolutely love mine. I do have a H E washer that was a thousand dollars. I just enjoy doing my laundry outside. I wash our clothes and sheets outside and hang them out. It honestly washes better than my fancy H E washer. It's fun. A great backup and great for a camper. I highly recommend these.

I live in a small apartment with my S.O and am looking into getting one of these. May I ask, do you use bleach and if so how do you do that? After colors and is it safe to do so anyway? Do you just have to do a good rinse after? Also, do you just let it air dry? And how do you go about cleaning it, bleach on a wash cycle? Id really appreciate the answers. ☺️💝
