In the alternate mode the signal from the back and side combine instead As for actually finding a use for that? First I need more than a single straight line hooked to a few pistons

@@espartanica4398 it also can detect the fill amount of a container (i.e chest, hopper, dropper, item frame rotation) and outputs a redstone signal that is stronger the more items within the container (or rotation of an item frame).
