+Omar Asfari Luckily for you, you can sleep easier knowing that we will never explore the universe. Science fiction is interesting and fun, but in the real world, we will simply never exceed the speed of light. Ever.
@videogameguitar-matt9 жыл бұрын
+Roflcopter4b The most unscientific thing ever said. People who think like you once said the same of a million other things. We already know in theory it's potentially possible to move much much faster than the speed of light, the question is how long will it be before we know definitively if we can ever achieve it as a species or if we can't ever create a system where we can harness the ability to do it. It's completely unscientific to say "never ever" regarding something that already has a couple of models that DON'T break the laws of physics to achieve it.
@Roflcopter4b9 жыл бұрын
VideogameGuitarist lolno. I have no idea why you think this but you are completely wrong. It doesn't even have to do with exceeding the speed of light. Speed doesn't work like that. There is no such thing as "faster" than the speed of light, that's just a completely nonsensical concept. That's like trying to talk about "before" the big bang. There is no before the big bang because time came into existence in the big bang, and likewise there is no faster than light because speed does not work that way, you can't even BEGIN to start to even slightly catch up to the speed of light, light always travels away from you at the speed of light no matter how fast you try to go to catch it. Also it is not unscientific to say never never. I know to a pretty damn high level of certainty that my lamp will never transfigure itself into a dog. I feel confident in saying that will never, ever happen. Likewise we know to JUST AS HIGH a level of certainty that the speed of light is fundamentally impossible to exceed.
@videogameguitar-matt9 жыл бұрын
Roflcopter4b No, you're wrong. You speak of the big bang, may i ask how fast the space was moving after the creation of the big bang? Look it up, you'll find it's SIGNIFICANTLY faster than the speed of light. You're mind is stuck in the vacuum. The space itself is not bound by the same laws of what's inside it. Look up the Alcubierre model. It proves you're wrong. Nothing can travel faster than light INSIDE the vacuum, light has no choice but to move at the speed of light because it has no mass. Perhaps watch Lawrence Krauus, one of the greatest living physicists speak on the subject. I'm not sure why you think there aren't models that haven't shown to be theoretically sound despite allowing for faster movement between different spaces but you need to do some research on it, you'll find there is more to it than simply "nothing moves faster than light". The irony is when "nothing" = "space" then it really does move faster than light under the right conditions. Also it IS scientifically inaccurate to say your lamp won't turn into a dog, we can both know it won't but you don't get to apply that to fields you don't understand. They are not comparable in any way. That's why we call gravity a "theory" despite people not willing to jump off buildings to test it. Nothing in science is 100%. Thinking in those terms is unscientific. It leads to poor conclusions, evidenced by you saying it is impossible to move faster than light, despite you now knowing that's a false statement when referring to the space itself.

So I’m here on behalf of EddsWorld. I was looking back on the channel and I saw his favorites playlist. Back in 2012 was when I first found out about portal 2, I saw the commercials and I was so engrossed in the concept that I’d look it up on KZbin and listen to the soundtrack. One of my favorites was ROBOTS FTW. I was listening to the song one day when I found an edit of an asdf movie skit with the song in the background., and that’s how I found asdfmovie, and then later found EddsWorld. I loved the humor and the characters so much and it gave so much inspiration, that someone could just draw themselves going on silly adventures with their friends and it’d be fun to watch!.. that would also be the year Edd Gould had passed.. asdfmovie, portal and EddsWorld would be ways of how I connected to others in middle school, helping me learn to be closer to others that like something similar... years later and now I’m just sitting here with my boyfriend, watching old EddsWorld cartoons, when I see Edds old Favorites playlist. Of course, the last few were favorited by the EddsWorld Legacy Team.. but the last video that wasn’t privated was this one...2012... kind of brought it full circle for me... the fact that this game and this show could fuel my love for so many things and bring me close to so many people... even if some of those people are out of my life now, I’ll still cherish the memories I has with them

@Crypt1cmyst1c8 жыл бұрын
I've seen people do similar things with floppy drives. trick is mapping the different frequencies the device can make, by changing ratation, power or whatever, then mapping them to notes in a midi controller, and playing a midi controller on it. or, in this case, having it output at a certain frequency for a certain amount of time. this would be more work, because alongside mapping the frequencies, he also made it draw something, which means each note is going to make a certain length line somewhere, and he had to figure out where to get it to draw each line so they all ended up the correct lengths in the right place. well done.

Yea especially for how old this video is. I think it cause now more places are getting more technology to work with and people want to see things they could potentially do with it. Example my school just got a laser ingraver and a 3D printer and something else but I forget what it's called and I've researched a lot on them since I was introduced to them
