1:24 That scene... It's just simply horrifying. I noticed how the core was almost looking right at the timer. All the way through. Which implies they saw the timer count down. Just thinking about it... One day you see a circle around your eye that starts to tick down. You don't know for sure what it means and the only thing you can assume is that it's your death timer. You can't do anything to stop it. All you're able to do is watch as it ticks down. Then once it's over... You just collapse. In an instant. No twitching or sudden movements right before. You don't have time to say anything. You don't feel anything anymore. You're simply just dead. The way the core's eye just goes to black and the mechanism that holds it up fails... To me, it's downright terrifying. And so is 2:03 . The way that P-Body waves into their Atlas's eye... He probably had no idea what happened to his friend. You're walking with your friend and suddenly they completely stop every movement. They just freeze in place. Their eyes don't react to any movements. You call the ambulance but they tell you that your friend has died on the spot...

Completely overthinking as this song is more about aperture. But this song also can be used to show the horrors of testing and building A.I. Imagine if something like this was real, a company that creates machines and either doesn't know their machines are "alive" or see's the A.I as a tool. Forcing them to go through tests to be shipped, sold, improved. The whole; "you'll never be yourself again" could relate to simple reprogramming. Imagine the horror of just being able to change a human's entire personality and sense of self.
