I like to imagine that if this were real, this entire process of events to get the companion cube far beyond it's chamber was how Doug Rattmann got his own Companion Cube that he carries around, and he marked the path to do so to help all potential future cube lovers out. Don't ask me how he would have known about seam shots or portal bumping, I don't think even he would have known why or how.

@@suncat530 if a game has a game editor or maker then a mod would be to add something the game doesn't have. The same rules apply to games without editors but it a bigger and wider variety of mods then. In this case, any map from portal 1 with a change is a mod

I sometimes take the cube from the rocket turrent intro to the end, although I could never bring it into the boss room even with cheats. Maybe a portal bump like the one at 11:59 could work?

It's really tricky though cause the hitbox for the emancipation grill is really big for some reason. Even then, there's normally a trigger when entering the boss room that deletes every object outside of that room. It's removed in this version of the map so you can bring the companion cube in
