Mean old hive. REALLY MEAN old hive. Decades old. Impossible to get any comb out of this one. You won't believe the aggression. Located in an old adobe building in Portal AZ. Beautiful views with death with wings. Can't really say much more about this one! www.killerbeeguy.com

Got into a situation with killer bees . Got 150-200 stings mostly around face. They got in my bee suit. Spent 3 days in ICU .. Avoided a tracheostomy by a hair....

How did they circumvent your suit? Do you suffer from Anaphylaxis (sensitivity to venom)? If so, you are fortunate to still be alive. If not, 200 stings and survived, Same. I got poked twice through my suit. Both to the head.

Hey guys, you might think of getting a cheap CB radio. They have an output for an auxiliary internal speaker and an external PA (public address) speaker. You can get one cheap at almost any big truck stop and wire it up so you can switch to PA and talk to people without opening the truck. I bet the firetruck has an external speaker already. You can help keep people from moving into the danger zone. Just a thought. Keep up the awesome work and most importantly stay safe. Also you might talk to you local Fire department EMT supervisor and see if they will put an epinephrine injector on your truck. You can eliminate the legal risk by having the victim self administer or doing it while live on the phone with EMS or the local ER. Minutes count maybe worth a try.

Here in South Africa, these are our regular bees, for this reason, we would only do removals of this nature at night using red lights, that way we can control them. Would never do it during the day. Once we get onto the honey they generally calm down.

That's some crazy aggro bees! I never saw so many of them latching on and digging in like that, it's as if they know the suit is protecting him and that they have to get through it to get to him. I can't help but imagine the universe of crap someone would be in if they just happened to walk into a situation like this without any protection, out there in the open with nowhere to hide or shelter. I can see how they don't call them killer bees for nothing!

I have a friend whom I buy mesquite honey from, best tasting ever. He told me back in the spring to be watchful of swarms. Well I had one that weekend. It was cool in the am and I was working on a rear tire on my motorcycle in the back yard. I went to get a breaker bar out of my shed and walked past my mesquite tree, I wasnt paying attention as it was getting warm and I wanted to finish the work before it got too hot. I heard a noise when I walked with 3 feet of the ball of bees about the aize of a basketball. A few 100 started to fly around and I ran for the front door and my cat. I noticed after 10 min they settled down and as I watched em could tell they were trying to keep the queen cool. I went out and worked on my MC that was 20 feet away. 😳 I dont know who is more obnoxious the flying insects or the guy trying to make funny jokes 😆

Jesus fella’s! My God I’ve heard of extremely aggressive killer bees, but I’ve never seen anything like this before in my life. May I ask, don’t they make a suit that can withstand any sting? Say the Asian Giant Hornet suits? Or will they get through no matter what suit you wear because of their shear tenacity to do so? And do the stings you do receive hurt as bad as full stings? I agree with you 10,000% on the fact that these SOB’s need to be killed. Every single one of them! Let the boys who are yapping about saving and requeening come and do it. But I bet you don’t get many volunteers at all do you. Just a bunch of lip service. Total newfound respect for this profession. Personally, I don’t have the balls to do it, and I’m not afraid to admit it. Stay safe gentlemen, you’ll both be in my prayers. Here's a story of my experience with Arizona killer bees. It was around March of 1997, and my friend and I went down to Cochise Stronghold to camp and rock climb. It's about a 15 mile drive east of Saint David across the desert. We got in late in the evening so we just slept in the car rather than set up camp. We didn't see anyone else around so we more or less had the place to ourselves. In the morning we were getting breakfast finished and sorting out our climbing gear. The night before we didn't see how much further the primitive road went, but we assumed there were other campers beyond us because it sounded like their generator was running. We started our hike to the rocks by following this road for a ways. The other campers must have been close because the generator was now louder. It didn't seem to make sense however because the road was getting more rough and it didn't seem like an RV could easily make it back there, and we did not see any indication of others, or hear anyone. After another 50-100 feet, it became clear what was making the sound. 15 feet up in a tree next to the trail was a swarm of bees so thick you couldnt even see through it. It looked like a solid ball about 5 feet in diameter. Our blood ran cold, as we were less than 30 feet away. We slowly backed up and went way off to the left a couple hundred feet before we headed back up the dry stream bed! We were probably 200 yards away from them at our camp and it was that loud!! The size of that swarm was easily 5 times the size of the one in this video. It was a rather chilling experience being that close to certain death.

I seen a killer bee in my area of New Jersey the other day last year we had a killer bees nest alongside of our fire pit and we would have bonfires and those guys were just chill out the whole time doing their thing and wouldn't even be bothered by the heat it was so weird

Hey Reid, genuine question. I work in structural pest control, just wondering if you’d ever consider hitting these terrible hives in the middle of nowhere with a non-repellant pesticide and leave it for a day or two. Would that not be a simple way to take care of it? Obviously according to labels and such, and I suppose it would ruin comb. Just a curious question! For example just hitting a nest in Alpine WSG or something similar.
@KillerBeeGuy
@KillerBeeGuy Жыл бұрын
Not a a bad idea. I believe it would work in certain situations. Of course there is the comb issue...
@bradleygamble1912
@bradleygamble1912 Жыл бұрын
I’m a traditional exterminator also and the vast majority of non repellent pesticides strictly forbid treatment of bees. I can confidently say that things like Termidor and Alpine would decimate a killer bee hive, but being that non repellents take a good bit of time to start killing, it would probably piss these bees off and make them even crazier for the better part of a day.

Why can’t you customize your bee suits to the point you’ll never be stung again? How about a mist slash shower that’s customized to your vehicle to spray yourself before you seek refuge into your vehicle.

Any sting proof suit you would suffocate in. Also when the suit gets wet and sticks to your skin they can sting much easier!

I have been told that the more bee Venom you ingest just continues to build up and there's only so much you can take and then there is a very good possibility that the next time you get stung even once you could die from it meaning it's not like your body builds up a tolerance for it and then you can get stung as many times as you want and it won't affect you. So can you tell me why it is good to have a little bit of venom. Does it have medicinal values. I'm allergic to bees and only have 30 minutes to get to the hospital and that's with my EpiPen so I don't go looking for them that's another reason why I wanted to know why it's good to take a little bit of venom. Thank you
