Living life on the edge running cliffhanger in Moab UT. We were able to make a quick trip down to Moab this last weekend for a good day of riding! Love this trail and the views it offers.

Do you guys do any transmission work or clutch work to make the rzr run right with minimal issues? Or are you solely relying on the portals to do the work with suspension mods?
@SlikRokProductions
@SlikRokProductions 6 жыл бұрын
We do not do any engine, transmission or clutching mods. We only run the portal gear lifts and they work really well.!

Very cool vid, considering portals myself. I have a few questions though since I switch between rock crawling and desert. I can't seem to find details anywhere Looks like everyone is running 4" portals right? How well does that setup handle the whoops in the open desert? I'm imagine with the extra weight, your top speed is reduced a lot without serious shock revalving/tuning. I also noticed everyone was running stock A-arms and trailing arms... You've never had an issue with those? Regarding the diff/tranny. Any upgrades to your front diff (sprague, etc)? What about the steering rack and POS Polaris module that cut's out all the time. You guys never had problems with your rack, tie rods or EPS? Thanks in advance

Thank you Kieran, portals have been a game changer for us! Yes we run 4" portals and mostly 35" tires and we still do 63mph. Also in this video all machines are running aftermarket upgraded suspension components all the way around. Portals witht he added width put alot of strain on stock components. We upgrade A Arms, Ball Joints, Rack and pinions, tie rods, radius rods and trailing arms to handle the abuse. We also have had our differentials gone through and upgraded internals. The polaris steering is a pos and we mostly run stand alone units from either superATV or wicked built. Hope this helps hit us up with any other questions

Another question! I’m in Houston tx I ride mud and trails usually nothing over 20 mph I have a 2017 rzr 1000 xp 4 highlifter edition I want to put 4 inch portals on with 38x9x22 do you think I would be ok in doing this without touching the engine transmission or clutch? Only upgrading suspension components as they wear out
@SlikRokProductions

Depends on the weight of the tire. The biggest we have ran is a 36" and some heavy 35" truck tires. Your saving grace is they are only 9" wide which will help your steering dramatically.

SlikRok Productions well I’m looking at the highlifter outlaw 3 which are 64 lbs each or the bkt tr 171 which are 58lbs each I believe but are 37x8.3x22 I actually was thinking of putting the outlaw 3 on the rear cause they are a little more aggressive then put the bkt tr 171 on the fronts are these a little to heavy for the portals?

SlikRok Productions actually bkt tr 171 37x8.3x22 are 53 lbs each

The 4" portals will be just fine with those tire weights. We have ran tires that were 78lbs and it didn't like them much.
